  • i was wondering how you did this (hopefully without the Blue Screen) People say you use dmc.exe and others say you cant even do it.

    Any advice?

  • my vista is perfect

  • OMFG LOL your right!

  • the end rocks :D

  • *Press Any Key* "Hey, Wheres the any key?"

    i go for ctrl

  • lul bluescreen

  • ooh that looks like when cells split apart

  • That sound is different from Windows Vista...

  • its from the beta.

  • because this one is vista beta

  • lol looks like a supernova

  • bingo

  • Ahh, yes the old "Blue Screen of Death"

I'm more of a Mac person but I use Windows more often

  • why is the world still running on Windows and Macs? there are other options for desktop users?

  • Uh, because sometimes the other options aren't the best for people? A system administrator has a use for *Nix, but your grandma doesn't. Give a *nix desktop to a 15 year old girl listening to her iPod, and you'll probably be back within an hour, fixing it.

  • I disagree. Sure there are some devices which don't work with certain software but there are usually some other OSS kit which will do the trick.

My mom has been using Linux for 3 years now and a friend's high school age girls used Linux all through high school. Support went from about 6/year for Windows to >1/year for Linux and that was for adding software or walking them through adding a new printer.

An OEM supported Linux system can work in the market for 15 year olds and granny's.

  • I prefer Windows XP.

  • at the end, it just looks like untrustworthy windows, but i must say windows are a hell lot better than mac

  • Part 2:

Maybe they should hire Steve Gibson to start the rewrite and manage a small group of IIT graduates to construct an environment that works with you and not against you.

Too bad Apple is getting ahead in that area. More than %50 of Apple computer purchases are made by people new to the mac these days, so there is no doubt people are switching.

  • Part 1:

I see that all the time at airports.

I guess nothing has changed in the past 15 years.

There should be some threshold where Windows development reaches a limit of mass that it implodes and creates a new smaller and more elegant universe.
