This is the best game ever. This player didn't look that good at the game though. I think I was top 20 on live for this. The cheaters were always the highest though. Sad.

@prabjot8 Campaign was fun as hell, i've beaten it in something like 5 hrs lol. They did a version for 360... unreal tournament III. It had instagib and the translocator and everything. It was as actually a really fun game just not too popular.

Damn I wish UT2k3 and UT2k4 kept the style and feel of this game. This actually felt like a decent successor to UT99 thanks to it's darker, more serious look and feel. The weapon affinity thing and no bullshit animations for deaths especially made it feel like an actual UT game. The music was also more wisely used and actually suited the maps it played on with a few maps like CTF Chrome having tracks that never made it in 2k3 or 2k4. This game also had the best version of Insidious and Sepukku.

This was my favorite map because the music just plain rocks, I ended up giving this game away to a friend because it wasn't backwards compatible with 360 :(

@ExtremeBogom I do personally. I know a lot of people rant and rave over UC2, but it didn't retain the UT feel. They added a bunch of unneeded stuff like the weapons mode. It made things cheaper IMO. I prefer the straight-up good old fashioned Unreal Tournament gameplay.

@teh2Dgamer My main problem was that everyone just exploded into gibs in the sequel. In this game they tumbeld and flew backwards when blasted. Gibbing should only occur when you use a heavy weapon, like a rocket launcher or a mini gun, not EVERY SINGLE WEAPON!

@Ig99 I wasn't a big fan of the whole weapon thing in UC2. I forget off the top of my head what they called it, but the part where you go into third person view and attack with a staff, or whatever your character was equipped with.

@teh2Dgamer I wasn't against the melee system, it just needed a little work, in my opinion. I think you may me referring to the Fatality finishers, which I really did not like, because there was no way to do the button imput fast enough, and when you saw the instuctions, you were all like "shit! gotta press the buttons!", which I would then mess up. And when it was done correctly it would just result in the enemy exploding into gibs as if you killed him without the finisher. That sucked...

pretty sure i spent my entire freshman year of high school playing the shit out of this game. by far my favorite and (imo) best unreal to date. fuck the vehicles and shit in the newer one's... this is FPS to the max.

@SuperStrich Not online anymore, but it supports split screen gameplay. I had to hunt down a gamefaq but here's what it said on how to get it: "Go to Instant action, choose what map and gametype you want and when you enter the game with

the other controller(s) , press start and choose an account."

I'm not sure if I even know how to use the adrenaline. I just played it straight I guess. I haven't played this game a whole ton, so I'm still new to the features it offers away from the original UT.

On the PC version you double had to quickly preform a key combination I believe. Like back-back-back for health regen.

I prefer the PS2, but the Xbox definitely has some great games on it as well. It probably depends on which system's exclusive games you like better.

Watered down port of the underwhelming PC game UT2003.

No, the sequel, "Unreal Championship 2 - The Liandri Conflict" was a lot better. It introduced some new stuff to the franchise, that in my opinion improved on the gameplay, while still keeping the same feel to it.

Frantic deathmatch insanity, great stuff.

Really want a sequel, but doubt it'll happen.

UC2 is also BC compatible (If you'd like to play, hell, anything BC, I'll give you my GT).

Come on, why the negative ratings? It is generally considered the worst out of the series. I mean, Epic released UT2004 to make up for it's shortcomings. Sadly though, modding didn't seem to catch on as much for that game.

Ah yes, on Xbox you don't have mods at all, which was one of it's few strengths on PC (There was some really damn good ones, like Weaponstuff, which let you swap any weapon function from one gun to another).

So yeah, I can slightly recommend UT2003 for PC, if only for the mods.

It really is the same basic game, but with more options (What you'd expect from your average PC game).

You don't get those on Xbox and in that case, you might as well just skip it in favor of UC2, which actually adds something new to the gameplay (And isn't also available on PC).

But yeah, if you just can't get it for PC, I guess you might as well go with UC. At least it's not a terrible port, as Unreal 2 was.
