@bigplot hey, Altough it is well know that spiders have eight legs, tarantulas appear to break this rule, as they have two additional appendages near the mouth, called Pedipalps, that resemble a tenth pair of legs. :)

@Spliffonaut All spiders have pedipalps, but they are more noticed by people on a tarantula because of the spider's size and the length of the pedipalps. There is a good video of a jumping spider called "phidippus putnami jumping spider being cute" which is a macro video and shows amazing detail of the spider. It even has "spiked hair" which resembles spikes of a punk rocker.
