  • I would jump out of the window....

  • i would fuckn freak out!

  • you should make an arachnophobia warning lol

  • Finally allowed a choice of my own tarantula from my mum as long as its not too fast.

Has a quick search about these...

    Nope.

  • Once that spider left the cage I started to get anxiety.

  • Holy shit that's a FAST spider. Now I know why I prefer handling terrestrials!!

  • Where's the Love button?

My P cam is only 1.5" or so, but definitely has that teleporting ability!

  • thats a beautiful chevy. thanks for uploading ;)

  • How will you get the male? Do they get eaten after?

  • i hate so what

  • poor spider

  • Good god. That's nothing. There's a spider in here that ran across the ceiling in just half a second. Oh, and this is a 100 sq feet room.

  • what a beauty, how long does this kind of spider live up to?

  • ale popierdala xD

  • Thats some scarey shit!!

  • o Shit! i would run as fuck if i saw that kind of spider.

  • dude u have like no fears, if tht thing was tht fast i would not hold it, i was bit by my chaco golden knee and it hurt i have never held a fast spider after tht

  • I have about 6 P. cambridgei and when I build up the courage to handle these they go flying off my hand just like in this video. It happens every time I hold them and they never get hurt. They probably enjoy it. Avics also do the samel with no signs of injury. If you guys knew your Ts you'ld know that that is why arboreals have those long hairy legs so they can glide down from any height. P. cambridgei act very much like terestials in their enclosures so the set up is fine. Great Vid!

  • niggers

  • spiders like that are what haunt my nightmares

  • Ok, first things first. you pronounced it wrong.

    Phoenetic spelling: Salmopous cambridgeeye.

totally arboreal. please do the trade a favor and sell that tarantula before you get bit, go to the emergency room because you are going to be in serious pain, get the doctors all riled up and have some reporter show up with no knowledge of anything, report how "dangerous it is" and help to ruin the trade.

its painfully obvious that you did not read a thing about this species.

  • ~cont'd~ on a large floorspace so it can run around but not go very high up :D. I wouldn't suggest handling because you could get nailed, but I don't think their venom is too bad, sort've like Tapinauchenius genus.

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOL. It might help to get her in a better setup for an arboreal, they tend to like height more than floorspace. It's always funny to see a spastic arboreal put the afterburners on though... I've got a few speed demons myself.

As it comes to handling though, bad move to get it so high up in the air. Arboreals can take harder falls than your normal terrestrials, but that was still a lot of free-fall from your arm. When handling you may want to get it in a jar and then coax it out ~cont~

  • beautiful

  • very very speeD!

  • Man .... oh boy... if i does that with my Psalmopoeus cambridgei - it will not only run, but bite the hell out of me...

my P. cambridgei is an angry bitch...

And is not very wise to handle that kind of spider the way your are doing it, even if you are an " pro "

The spider don't like it.. and your terrarie is crappy .. need larger... taller..

( sorry my bad english ) chek out info about Psalmopoeus cambridgei - and you will know pepz laff at you when they are watching

  • I wish i had nerves like you, ....but if something like that was crawling at me, i would prob faint or get a heart attack :(

  • by the wat, i;ve got P.pulcher and she was supposed to be fast, even faster than my cambri. Well, she isnt and she''s a grown up so its the proof that these little creatures have different tempers. That spider of yours is almost as insane as my pokies.

  • shes so freaking big and yet you dont know what sex she is?

  • by the way we have beautiful mombasa golden starburst tarantulas and we also have citrus babys up for sale pure bread citrus no mixing and we will be having o.g.g soon plz send me a message if interested

  • Comment removed

  • Idiot

  • You are braver than I sir heh. I've heard that Psalmopoeus genus have pretty strong bites, not Pokie level bite but still bad.

  • lol wow that really fast

  • Thanks for a great video - i have a Selenocosmia Crassipes, as speedy and aggessive with it - id like to comment on your example and say that it is clearly looked after - beautiful condition cheers mate

  • Wow that was awasome !

My Psalmopoeus is very relaxed most of the time and i never push her into something she doesnt want to.I use a smal brush to tickleher feet onto my hand and most of the time she slowly walks on . . one time she jumped of like in this video.I was so scared omg lol

  • They are really pretty T's. Im trying to get a hold of one. Thinking about trading my cobalt for a A. geniculata. Just got a pair of P. regalis from Robc. They are cool little T's so far. They are only 2nd instar. Hope I can mate them and get a sac or so. Im trying to get a versicolor soon too. Got an OBT last month. They're insane.

  • she's so beautiful. you must be a proud papa.

  • You are so calm handling her! Very pretty girl :)

  • once again it aint toys but animals and they wont get used to handling cuz they got no concious.

It aint dogs you can tame lol

  • fast monkey

  • 2 fairly obvious questions, sorry if they've been asked before but...

    1. why do people always want female tarantulas? do they live longer?

    2. tarantulas are pretty fragile i heard... isn't there large risk in handling a tarantula that fast? (to the tarantula i mean)

  • Yes, females live for like 3 times longer than males.

    A. Versicolor for example, the female can live for up to 20 years, where the male will only live for 5-6 years.

And yes, there is a risk, if the tarantula jumps and misses its landing or he drops it by accident or something, the spider could seriously hurt itself even from that height.

  • You clearly do not know what you are doing I have one of these as a spiderling hes in his 2nd instar at the moment, you cant let it fall from a hieght like that god knows how it didnt hurt itself, And you have a terristrial setup when its an arboreal spider that lives at a hieght so you have the wrong enclosure set up for it.

  • semi arboreal... yeah she was between enclosures at the time.. never said i did know what i was doing... and in 4 years of keeping inverts ive still never lost one from a fall..

have a good one and take it easy.,.

  • @MeaninglessEndeavor Again!! when a tarantula Runs it means its scared!! leave it alone and go back the next day!

  • Hmm, its not good to let your spider fall from that height, even though its a arboreal....

  • Some arboreal tarantulas have thick hairs on their legs to help slow the fall, making the impact alot less traumatic. Avicularia have this feature. Its a self defense mechanism for some species of spiders, jump if threatened.

  • Yes just like you say "Jump when threatened" and you say, a lot less traumatic. but still traumatic.

Why would you treat your spider like that it aint toys cmon just let the spider be.

  • In this guys defense, the spider jumped. He didnt throw it. I have had pink toes jump when i tried handling them, it may be the owners fault for getting them out but handling them a little everyday will get them use to it and they will calm down alot more. Anyways this guy must know what he is doing cause of the species so i think anyone who wants to dis him should think twice, besides, does he really care what we say? he still gonna do it.

  • damn speedy gonzales

  • is beautiful your chevron, I have one just like yours

  • omg if that was runnning everywhere id ru outta the room lol XD

  • @EVILFELIX4444 Agreed..I would give that thing the house..lol

  • gah ! kill it!

  • insane dude !!! nice spider !

    scared the SH*t outa me

  • that thing is so scary

  • It's actually frightening how quick it is, imaging trying to chase that thing all around the living room

  • Been there done that!! And no, its not fun!!

These are insanely quick spiders, definatly not for the faint hearted

  • Creepy and nerve-wrecking!

  • looks like a male bro sorry to disapoint you

  • no she molted out female for sure.. but unfortainitly she was killed about a year ago.... my x girlfriend flipped out and started throwing cages across the room.... she didnt make it. fucking bitch

  • That sucks. Mines actually a reasonable size now. The get large jumps in size with each molt which is nice, also not quite as mean as pokies which makes them a little more suitable for handling.....if you can keep up lol!!

  • What a psychotic bitch. Did she not know you had tarantulas and was irrationally scared of them or something? I'm scared of venomous snakes, but doesn't mean I'm gonna destroy someone's collection.

  • @MeaninglessEndeavor Good thing she's your ex. Hell I would have sent her the bill for some new Ts too.

  • @MeaninglessEndeavor dammm ur gf is scary.

  • @MeaninglessEndeavor That sucks! Sorry for your loss dude.

  • @MeaninglessEndeavor Dude... your ex sounds like a total fucking psychopath. What the hell made her flip her ass out?

  • @MeaninglessEndeavor

    man that sucks bro

i say you hit her with a hammer....

  • @MeaninglessEndeavor wow that bitch needs to be put in ehr palce. *SMACK* expensive stuff there.

  • @MeaninglessEndeavor OMG, why would your X do that!?!? Did you at least take her to court for damage and animal cruelty/death? I know I would've

  • @MeaninglessEndeavor damn she need a hard SLAP and BIIIG kick in her but spiders cute i have a T myself and i am gonna buy more thats forsure

  • @MeaninglessEndeavor YOUR EX GIRLFRIEND DID THAT!? i'd have smacked her so hard her children would be brain damaged! and taken her money to replace anything broken

  • Comment removed

  • @MeaninglessEndeavor

If Sam did that when we were in a fight, I'd take his ass to small claims court. Oh, and never let him live down the fact that he killed an innocent, beautiful animal because he was mad at ME.

Seriously dude, I feel for you. Sorry you lost your beauty, hope you still have some other awesome Ts.

  • .......gross

  • ive got a smithi shes just about to malt shes great to handle usually though if ure gonna get a tarantula as a novice or inexspereinced get a branchypelma smithy theyre great A.K.A Mexican red knee tarantula

  • Not mean just extremely skittish. It's the most skittish tarantula I have ever seen.

  • tarantula dies after a fall, but this is cool one...

  • Arboreals won't. They are build for it.

  • wohoo very fast o.o

  • OMG! :D

  • That was the freakiest spider ever!!!

    Great pet.

  • wtf that jus put me off having a spider for life just imagen if that got out and u didnt no. lol i would move house

  • It's an arboreal. Not all tarantulas are THAT fast. I think if you get a calm, gentle one like a Chaco golden knee, you'll be fine marcrow.

  • WTF///

  • spiders does not take into their hands! Fell several times, which could result in bursting of post.

    sorry, i'm polish

  • lol

  • birdspider can bite you but you dont die

  • is that kind of spiders dangerous and it can bite you?

  • Well all spiders can bite but dayum shes like spazzing seriously O.o'

  • I have two such sweeties and I definitely know what they're capable of... and I cannot even imagine how fast are the extremely poisonous poecilotheria, as I've heard that they're a lot faster.

  • i dont think there that much faster. top speed is rediculous for either species.. onother one is the H.mac.. those guys telaport

  • i've got a couple speedy spids, a trinidad chevron, a P. ornata and a H. mac. I have to say the H. mac can actually teleport - no word of a lie!!! Blink and its gone litterally!

    P. ornata may not be as quick but when 10" of spider is running around at the pace it does you really need to keep your wits about ya lol!

  • Pokies not as fast, but still quick enough to scare the shit out of ya! Everyone reacts very differently to pokie venom - i've been bit twice (both P. ornata sling/juvi) and neither was half as bad as expected, though my togo starburst (H. mac juvi) nearly killed me, or felt like it!

  • thats realy interesting.. could you go more into your acount of the bite.. how long where there side effects from the venom.

  • Pokie bite wasn't nearly as bad as expected, i had a real sharp burning feeling from the initial bite. Then Pins and needles and numbness for about an hour. This is probably down to the fact it was a juvi and pokies tend not to "pump" you full of venom like other Ts

  • When i first got my H. mac juvi (3") it was a calm little thing but then turned E V I L ! ! !

It ran up my leg and onto my arm, at which point it sunk its fangs into me! The initial pain was mental - like burning up from the inside. Then came cramps, muscle twitching and eventually nausea and headache.

Not a nice experience to be honest and its only going to get worse the bigger it gets!

Anyway - when you doing some more T vids that you said you were gonna do lol!!

  • ill do one.. i actually bought a pink toe today... total random perchance i just saw it at the pet shop when i stoped in to get a few things and shes what i walked out with.

  • Pinktoes are awesome, one of those spiders you can just get out and not worry about it flying off across the room and trying to remove your limbs lol!!

    their pretty too ;)

  • Lol spiders are addictive

  • She's fit to be an 8-legged dragster!

  • omfg :| !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol ohh my fucking god, wtf^^

very very nice!!!! lol i have it too, but my is a baby, lol and she is very fast!!! haha cool

  • Man thats a bad ass spider!!!! Absolutely beautiful.

  • how is she on aggression ?

  • u are a brave man

  • dont worry about when this spider jumped, it wasnt a fall it was a jump. mine do this all the time to pounce on prey, and me :D

id recommend only that you dont disturb a mated female like this !

very nice spider. did anyone spot the nice red markings on the end of the legs, its much nicer to appreciate for real!

i have a cambridgei this exact same size too !

  • feed her !

  • You know, you can kill it, doing that.

  • man you'r not kinding that spider is quick.5*

  • WOOT that fucker is very fast on its feet

  • that thing is a rocket

  • holy crap that thing is like greased lightning!

  • I got one of those as a freebie from my tarantula supplier :)

Hopefully (s)he gets as big as that :)

  • wow your lucky she did not die from that fall

  • HI :D

  • damn lol. what tarantula species is that??

  • Does he ever hurt himself falling off you like that?

    Wicked spider nonetheless.

  • Fuck me sideways, that's way to fast. Ive just bought 10 of them, for a 20 tank display!

  • Jesus Christ you'll die with 20 of those fuckers i want one.... or two.... or 10000!!!

  • Lmao, i couldn't help it, i was playing on gears of war 2 and my mate was like come on do it... i so should of said no! Maybe i can hook you up man, if you live in the uk?

  • well im only 13 and ive in cumbria sooooo... = )!!

  • I don't these are communal.

you will probably end up with 1 super fat T.

  • :| ick.

  • how can you tell there sex i just bought one 2 months ago , im not sure what kind it is either

  • WOW SPEED :D 5/5

  • That thing is adorable, can you buy these at a pet store? I am interested.

  • Hahaha I love how fast these guys are...Sometimes I wonder if they could outrun a cat!

  • i would say.........YES!!

or it would just run circles round one!

  • Easily these things rule!!!

  • EEK! TOO FAST TOO FAST.. Ö

  • thats what she said

  • It doesn't want you to hold it. How many times does the thing have to run away and jump off of you for you to figure that out? I would have opened the door and let it run right on out. You don't wanna be here? You don't have to be here. Thank you for not biting me while you were visiting.

  • It's normal for those type of spiders that are nervous (Especially during pregnancy) to bite you because they sense danger in themselves and in their relatives.

  • I have 2 of them (a little smaller than yours) and they're fast and nervous like hell!!! Even my regalis isn't that nervous. They're so great!

  • OMG You had it all over your arms!? I get cold shivvers from just looking at something like that.

  • Damn, that's crazy fast. I'd like to see more videos up of this one in the future

  • btw mr retard, this is an ARBOREAL species. if ur brain cant handle that word, it lives in trees and other elevated environments. do some research and treat the poor thing with some respect before u get a pet

  • BTW.. little bitch. this species is more semi arborial. unlike pokies who tend to not spend hardly any time on the ground this species as well as the irminia prefere to build web from the ground up and cover it with beding for security. i ashure you that a 12-16 in high enclosure is plenty... sence just about every species i have is "arborial" i would say in somewhat educated about the topic... by the way i was right.. its a female.

  • My P Cam stays in its burrow, its got a nice tower to stay on, but it likes to burrow in the substrait, so ya, semi-arboreal, not like Avics.

  • DUDE. WTF. I agree. Totally matrix like. Very very impressive. I'm really surprised you didn't stop trying.

  • Nie odpowiedzialny Terrarysta ;/ sprawia męki pająkowi, niedziwnie sie jak mu coś będzie z odwłokiem po takich skokach, upadkach ;/

  • Interesting spider. I knew these were fast but this is matrix-like. Totally impressive. I really like this video and it's among my favorites.

Did you ever determine the gender?

  • ya its a female... i havent gotten around to getting a male for her yet

  • Nice spider ;]

  • good lord. ur the one of the bravest people ive ever seen. lol. that would give me an instant heart attack! lol

  • your gonna lose that girl!

  • You are one brave motherfucker my friend...

  • How can you tell the sex of the tarantula? I've been told the female is a bit larger than the male but some are the same size but different genders, I'm just confused. :S

  • Male tarantulas have hooks on their two front legs which they use when mating to keep females from biting them or something like that. I got that from the internet!

  • Yeah that's only when they're mature.

  • ur not that clever now r u. for starters, they are called tibial spurs, and second of all, not all tarantulas have these tibial spurs. a majority do, but not all. (tibial spurs become present at an older age)

  • mind your own business you son of a bitch!

  • had loads of these used to handle em to! till one jumped 2ft onto my face!the mahogany browns are cool to!

  • lol.. he eats Nitro :D

  • thats one fast spider LOL

  • That's a hard word to pronounce 'Psalmopoeus cambridgei'.

  • LOL

have u ever seen a fast spider?

    u will look a P.murinus or T. gigas

  • Zippy little critter! :-)

  • lol I read your channel MeaninglessEndeavor that you get a lot of hate mail? What about? Why do some people hate on you? Is it cos of your southern american accent?

  • all kinds of shit.. its usually the "you dont have any respect for theise animals.. burn in hell." shit like that.. its entertaining though.. but i do get sick of responding to the same shit over and over again. i think i might write one hate mail reply letter that covers all the topics.. then i can just copy and paste that shit.

  • lol ok

  • damn that spider is like the flash

    holy crap

  • goddamn, that fucker is FAST !

  • gorgeous spider!

  • thats like my old pink toe on amp

  • I have a cambri too! Its adorable! I love him! Its L8 and i dont know what sex he is. Awsome moovie!

  • i would cry i have arachnophobia

  • wow! it's like pink toe+caffine.

  • that is so cool, i wish my roommate wasnt afraid of my spider (even in a tank)

  • Whys everyone flaming this dude.. ITS HIS TARANTULA. Shoot, Kudos dude thats some speed. Ever try holding a p murinis?

  • i have thesame spider but.... He isnt agressive and fast as hell.

  • This is true. How can you even think of holding this species? It is highly agressive and fast as hell. I have one of these...granted its only about 2cm but its still fast and I wouldnt even think of handling it at this age- more for its saftey than my own.

  • I own tarantulas for two reasons only. I am fasinated by them and so treat them with respect (watch and dont touch), plus I am arachnaphobic and so seeing as I dont agree with handling them anyway I thought this was a good project for making me less scared - to actualy own a spider.

  • It has helped but Im still scared of the big house ones. Why do you feel you must poke them and cause them to fall and get stressed? Its not for your entertainment and for you to say look how brave I am. You dont deserve it. You couldve killed it!!

  • ale zapierdala ! mam takiego samego tylko ze niejest taki szybki moze dlatego ze malo go stresuje..ten co na filmiku to napewno byl przestraszony i dlatego tak szybko uciekal
