Thats some great racing footage and some really good driving. What can i say about the GTV6 that we already dont know, that ford had some horsepower down the straight, GO ALFA.
Awesome stuff. I found myself swearing at the Falcon in the final two laps as I cheered the GTV on. And to think I was a major Ford fan when these things were brand new!
Such a great video! I was celebrating too when he managed to beat the Falcon! Just goes to show that cubic inches are no match for a well designed chassis with a good driver. Not suggesting that the 2.5 litre V6 lacks grunt tho. It too is a wonderful peice of kit.. Well done!
Brilliant!!! The ballance and composure of the Alfa vs the crude, pure engine capacity grunt of a 5.8ltr V8 tugg boat. 2.5ltr engine sounded awsome and I love the straight cut gear whine from the gearbox.
i look on you tube every week for video's of circuit racing , ive seen this one 4-5 times ... this is the best video of Qld raceway (including my own) .
Hmmm no turbo? What makes that high pitch sound? What is a straight cut gear box? Remember your english slang requires translating. Watched video again still as sweet as before! I need to copy some of your mods in my 3.0 Milano.
mad man at the wheel!!!, really nice on edge driving, and a good demo what is possible with a gtv, roadholding is superb to all other cars on the track, in the corners it seems very fast.
As a life long Alfa and Fiat owner (30 yrs)the reason the GTV6 is so much better than the crappy Chooks and Oldens is that they handle & have brilliant brakes, plus he is good driver. The GTV6 is all over the back of the Chook in the corners. Also the GTV6 sounds great. GTV6 also cleaned up the in the Euro championships etc. Aussie V8 rubbish = boat anchors. Can't for the life of me understand why all those Gt chooks & Monros etc are getting high prices. You couldn't pay me enough to have one.
Great racing, fantastic driving using your Alfa's strengths to compensate for HP disadvantage.. I bet you'd like a closer 5th gear ratio at this track?,,Awesome, POST MORE! thanks ed.
add some hills, like mt panorama, bathurst, and the other "rubbish" aussie cars eat alfas for breakfast.these clubman events are great fun,but those with the biggest tyre budget will always come out on top.that said, nice driving.
But the aussies had to ban every non aussie car to make sure they win, even in the panorama. Remember say BMW 635CSI, Volvo 240 Turbo, Ford Sierra Cossie, Nissan Skyline, Jag XJS, BMW M3, and on.. and on!
Aussie cars are amazing, but cannot compare to the much more advanced european machinery!
wonderful car, the driver is a devil, only few know that the Alfa Romeo alfetta cars have the best results for the grip in curves, they stay in the road at -1,8 G- while the modern Ferrari 360 modena only stay untill -1,2 G-.. As a Milan Alfa Romeo Enthusiast I'd like to take contact with this pilot.
Bye, bye Ford driver! :D
