I don't think I will ever stop coming back to this unique event. It makes you think there's still a chance for the world, eh? Two guys from opposite ends of the earth, just gigging. It's clear Gary worships the "old guy", and BB is happy to watch the younger man show off his licks. What a great show. If anyone asks you what electric blues is, sit them down in front of this.
thumbs up for these great artists ! RIP Gary Moore, a legend of electronic guitar and this was a special very special duet with BB King, the meeting between rock and blues ! It's on repeat over and over again in my ears!
I got to see B.B. King in the 'middle-to late '70's' in a bar called "Club Paradise" Memphis, TN. He was a "Prima Donna" kept us all waiting until MIDNIGHT. But he was so WORTH IT. I'd loved to have been present for this show! I really enjoyed his (B.B."s) 'blues' that night in Memphis, though. RIP Gary Moore.

@CornCob6000 You should really be more informed. If it weren't for "that fat guy in the green jacket", there would be no blues or rock guitar like it is today. No one would have ever heard of guys like Gary Moore and countless other masterful guitarists if it weren't for the musical creations of B.B. King. Sure he doesn't play fast lead lines, but he invented this stuff! Everyone else is just is a fast B.B. and you should show some more respect for a great innovator of today's rock and blues.
@JBroMusicProductions I respect him for his seminal work in terms of starting the ball rolling, although there were many other contributors. I would disagree that everyone else is just a 'fast B.B', as you'll know that Moore's style owes more to the likes of Albert King. If an unknown guitarist was to take to the same stage as Moore and played like this, then he would be booed off. BB actually got annoyed over Moore 'trying to show him up', which says a lot about the big guy's fragile ego.
@JBroMusicProductions And, let's not assume that a person 'should be more informed', when you have no idea about how well, or ill, informed they actually are. Always beware of those Type II errors! ;-)
That fat guy in the green jacket is still alive and playing all around the world. He is this King of Blues. Respect man. Gary Moore is a legend in his own right, inspired by BB KING!
@raraaa2012 Well, you're certainly correct in saying that he's still alive, so full respect to Beebs for not dying. King of the Blues? Of course, but we've already have Robert Johnson and John Lee Hooker, but you guys have forgotten about them now. So sad. I do like BB's jacket though.
hey, if this is Greeny LP what was the guitar that he gave to his technician ? It looked like Burst also. Or maybe it's the same guitar and video is just cutted
@PDoodek it is the Greeny Les Paul he's playing, it's very obvious from the way the guitar just GROWLS, and c'mon, 90% of the guitars Gary played were Les Pauls of this color (which is Lemon Drop, not Sunburst btw), and there's also the possibility that the guitar was taken backstage to be tuned before the song started?
nonetheless, it definitely is the Greeny Les Paul, there's a shot in the video where you can see the pickups and the neck pickup is inverted, this definitely is Greenie :)
@jihad255 "Burst means" Les Paul Standard from 1958 to 1960, not Sunburst colour (in fact, all of them were somekind of Cherry Sunburst and 90% of them faded and Green's Burst faded the most, making this significant "Lemon Drop" colour). Yes, I agree that maybe video was cutted and guitar was tuned, but from the other side many guitarists have few similiar looking and playing guitars to their "Number One"
@PDoodek Just curious that it looks like he was playing Greeny all set, than BB came and he switched for some "lower value" copy ;) Nonetheless, as you've said, it must be original one.
I saw BB live in Jacksonville, Florida Mothers day 2010. He brought Red Roses, and handed them out to all of the all the ladies in the audience, PURE CLASS.
are yu serious? well... yes. Lucille is BB´s guitar.... and gary is playing probably the most famous les paul of all time: the peter green les paul, the one with the out of phase sound in the mid position. Two of gibson´s most wanted, legendary and valuable guitars
I love Gary he wasnt trying to rip rings around BB like so many or try to make a name for themselves he was just playing with a guitarist he looked up to and showed him the utmost respect ! Watching Gary and B B ! Reminds me of playing guitar with my step grandfather and there after :) " Respect" Beautiful !

The first time I saw the duel I can not believe what I was seeing. This seems impossible. It´s obviously the genious of two of the best guitar blues players of all time, and in this one gary moore makes something that it´s almost impossible. But there´s a little bit of magic. Fon any uitar player everywhere this is a must see. The best guitar duel in history. 5:28... I mean, I can´t believe that. bb king Vs. Gary Moore. Lucille Vs. Greeny

Gary was a genious, so he could follow bb, but god bless the king. I would love to see a duel like this between bb and eric. Or just imagine hendrix vs clapton, srv vs gary... buddy vs bb

@AubMar Thank you, my friend. I've ordered it from an on-line store (ultramusicstore), somewhere in Europe I guess. Won't be happy until it arrives safely!
Thank you! And you are so right. Stunning and breath taking performance by 2 of the greats. 1 is king and 1 is no moore. Not trying to be fun, just poor poetry.
Make no mistake about it, this is no guitar duel, but rather two guitars talking to one another, with such feeling, over a vast distance of time between two masters of the blues ! Fan- freakin- tastic !
Please pleas somebody tell me where I can get this video with this performance on.......I consider myself VERY VERY lucky to hav seen both these heros of mine.......ive wanted this video for years....????????????? Gary Moore the last of the truly great guiitar heros
I strive to play every note like my mentor BB. Gary Moore demonstrates his uncanny ability to not only emulate, but enhance the magic of BB and his song. What a thrill to see this video and have it as a part of my (our) lives. These moments make every minute spent crafting the guitar worthwhile. RIP Gary Moore and live long BB...
Thanks to AubMar for putting this on. Two Consumate guitarists, doing what they do best. It's only Rock and Roll... yeah?... you pick up a guitar... And you try to play it...
If there is a God, why does he take the best people first? And if there is a Heaven... Look out Heaven... Gary is up there with Phil Lynott... The Boys Are back In Town...
this is better than crossroads duel :)

Watching Gazza play stripped back BB King style - he sounds awsome. Less is Moore....
