@Geno119740 I've always entertained the thought of a double battle champion fight, and hoenn seems best for it, given there's both steven and wallace.

@Geno119740 Actually it makes sense that Wallace beat Steven since water beats rock and ground beats steel. Either way, they should make a cutscene where, right after you finally get to the champion's room, you see Steven talking to Wallace because, apparently, Wallace won just moments before you challenged the Elite Four.

Those that are weak to Water just happen to be also Ground type ( Steelix for example )

Steven uses Metagross, Skarmory and other steel pokemon which are definatly not weak to water.

@Andy123AE I said water beating rock (Steven also has rock-types) and ground beating steel (remember wallace's whiscash?). Either way, ground beats both rock and steel, so Wallace probably took care of almost all of Steven's party with just Whiscash.
