Don't even need the plastic box or that special paper.
Just try using the foam that comes with characters and a plastic food container from a take-away. Using the foam itself prolongs the paint better than pallet, just add a drop or 2 of water. Excellent for inking and multi-layer painting.
I have the wet palette in the video, it will keep paint moist for awhile. Put some on back on April 4th, used some and put the palette into the fridge with paint still on it. I forgot about it until June 18th and when I opened it the paint was still perfectly good.
Once again, awesome information. My wife is a painting grad, and just watched this with me, and said it was really cool. She loved the waxless parchment paper recommendation! Thanks.
You're grat man! Love ur vids, you can see how much you like what you're talking about and its nice how you describe everything in detail!
One thing..maybe you could also start showing techniques you use, blending, shading, everything that you want to share with us from minis' point of view, so that we also see the work on the mini! Great vids keep up the grat work and hope to see a LOT LOT more vids, especially for warhammer 40k :)
Hey Long time no Vid!!! Looks like I'm not the only one that missed your vids..This is great that someone actually previewed and compared the wet palette as opposed to a regular one. Appreciate it..Keep em coming...
Great Vid. I did some research last week after you mentioned this and made one out of a Ziploc container some paper towel and parchment. I find using a spray bottle for the water works great too.
I actually use Wax paper, kitchen paper, with my wet palettes and it works just fine. But i may have to try out waxless parchment paper, see if its any better. hmmmm
Awesome dude!, its a pity that you stopped with videos..

No problems when making paint mixes on the wet pallet?

I have a homemade wet palette. I've got paint on there over a week old and it's still usable.

I've been using wet pallets for a couple years now, and I don't know how I got on without them.
