  • I WAS 10 YRS OLD BY THIS TIME... MARCOS WAS THROWN OUT OFF SEAT BUT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT WAS MY COUNTRY BECAME POOR OF THE POOREST... CORY WHO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT GOVERNANCE WAS DRAGGED BY HIS TAIL... THOSE PEOPLE THAT SURELY KILLS HER HUSBAND TO AGGRAVATE THE SITUATION AND ANYTHING NEGATIVE HAPPENS WILL HIT PRES. MARCOS ASS'

  • I was 7 when this happened and at that time although I couldn't understand what was happening, I knew there was something big going on; something pivotal to our history.

  • @serenity0324 I was 10 only, my WWII war vet father opened my eyes in the reality of politics whose one of those unheard that opposes this shit... He keeps on saying to us that if Marcos gone everything that Marcos done will turn to waste because what Cory and her associates will definitely destroy Marcos projects and program...

Marcos is the best and really nationalistic for he embraces a FILIPINO IDEOLOGY. A leader must have an ideology and should not be a worshiper of idols...

  • @SuperAGRAVANTE Yes, but sadly he Idolized his wife too much to the point of murder, tyranny and deceit.

  • This is a nice video and song. Really appropriate for all Filipino's. We should unite to lift up our country and not the other way around.

  • what song is this??

  • @the1who8fridgecake It's 'Magkaisa' - sung by Virna Lisa and composed by Vicente Sotto III.

  • @pilipinasmabuhay100 salamat :D

  • Ooopppss... I didn't know this channel is for the Marcos Loyalist trying to get back in Power. Sorry for you guys, I feel your loss. Wahaha!!! =D

  • One thing i know : We failed our beloved country because we let this "Democracy without direction" to happen.

  • @zenervox29dack Yes, because now we actually work for it. We strive for it. Back then, you were given hand-outs to silence dissent and project Marcos' so-called 'New Society' as an instrument of progress. The Philippines will not be prosperous if all of us just sit and complain about everything - from government to paying our taxes. It's our duty to help. Remember this quote, kabayan: "Freedom doesn't mean being free to do anything; it means being able to freely do responsible things."

  • @zenervox29dack parang tama ka, i agree

  • @zenervox29dack It is truly disheartening to see the 1st Edsa revolution and the death of many has come to naught. I wish to see the Philippines soar and have the hope we did in those day!

Nakita kita kahapon, may hila-hilang kariton

  • Whats this song called ?

  • Who killed ninoy we dont know its been 27 years and we still dont know

.. Ano ang problema ng mga pilipino? Diba ang kapwa pilipino? Mga pilipino ang PROBLEMA ng BANSANG PILIPINAS!

  • TANDAAN NINYO ITO! ANG JAPAN AY NASALANTA NG LINDOL AT TSUNAMI, BALANG ARAW TATAYO ULI SILA TUNGO SA PAG-UNLAD, PERO KAYO DYAN SA PILIPINAS.....MANANATILI PARIN GANOON ANG BUHAY NINYO, HINDI KAYO TATAYO DAHIL MGA BUSY KAYO SA PAG-GAWA NG BATA! YON LANG ANG KAYA NINYONG GAWIN!

  • GAYAHIN NINYO ANG MGA JAPANESE.....DISIPLINADO AT MAY DIGNIDAD!

  • MASIPAG PA!

  • I'M PROUD 2 BE A PILIPINO (ISIGAW NATIN BAYAN KO IPAGLALABAN KO)

  • I know Im gonna get trashed by this comment BUT, its my opinion...EDSA WAS A BIG FUCKING JOKE FOR ALL THE PILIPINOS AND THE WHOLE WORLD! It was the finest, perpectly executed plan to throw a so called dictator. No Thanks kay FVR and company, napatalsik si Marcos.

  • after 25 years... wala pa rin kaunlaran ang pilipinas... but before edsa 1, ang pilipinas ay angat sa mundo.....thats a fact

  • I am really proud to be pinoy!!!

  • Freedom is something everyone is born with, whether you're a Christian, a Muslim or a non-believer. It's amazing how the EDSA People Power Revolution of 1986 sparked a chain reaction from the Eastern countries in Europe to the countries in the Middle East. At the end of it people had no other desire but to let their voices be heard. In these modern times, a one-man rule is purely obsolete. All the world wants is to absorb a democracy.

  • This video just show's how ignorant the Pilipino's are. They are praising the Aquino's for they have done nothing for the Philippines compare to Marco's accomplishments.I cannot wait for Bongbong to be the next president!

  • @omanskyful Yea marcos' accomplishment of killing Ninoy Aquino who doesn't want Martial Law. Fuck martial law.

  • @omanskyful yun nga. veneration without understanding. but to ask for Bongbong to be the next president? haha. that verdict would just be as ignorant as the aforementioned. the son clearly doesn't have his father's brilliance. well maybe the brilliance for corruption... but definitely not the brilliance which once let the country bask in the glory of being part of what was considered the world's finest. we're such a far cry even from Cuba now (exclusive of the GDP and all).

  • @omanskyful what you are saying are absolutely rubbish!

  • @omanskyful ....yeah I agree!!! Marcos Achievements: 1) Kill all the people who don't agree with my policies including students and journalist! 2) Take all the money from the Filipino people and spread it all to my "DOGS" especially OMANSKYFOOL! 3) Go pls get my wife a 3000 pairs of shoes....and don't give any food to the poor! 4) FUCK ALL LOCAL INVESTORS AND HAIL TO THE FOREIGN INVESTORS!!! how do you like that achievements OMASKYFOOL?!

  • If you are in power for 20 yrs or more, mahirap pakawalan ang posisyon. Those people get so absorbed and allowed themselves to be identified with their temporal power and what it can do. Like the Marcoses, Mubaraks and Khadafis, they get greedy, arrogant and inclusive. When one is in power that long, they believe that nobody is capable of leading the country except them and their families forever. They possess these delusions of infallibility and the rest are idiots and retarded.

I guess it's not too late for our country.

I Salute Everyone one of you...

You've been belong to our National Heroes....

  • No Bullet Can Kill a Filipino!

And I've witness the abused that had happened at that time.

What does that entail?

Marcos is like a disease to our political/governance system, na hanggang ngayon di pa rin mawalawala.

  • most people here whose saying something against this People Power in 1986 and up to now still pro Marcos are ignorant as to what Marcos did to our country and to the Filipino people.

AND THAT IS JUSTICE.. sa atin malabong mangyari un kung makulong man vip treatment pa..

  • 25 years ago, just beside my office, people were camping out.

  • FIRST THE SLAVIC COUNTRIES, NOW THE MID-EASTERN ONES. IT'S THE PHILIPPINES' PEOPLE POWER MOVEMENT WHICH INSPIRED IT ALL.

    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY EDSA PEOPLE POWER!

  • KINAIN Ng SISTEMA... :(

EDSA? LOLS!

  • The Philippines commemorates it's 25th year "People Power" this month of February 2011 that finally forced Ferdinand Marcos to leave the country and ended his dictatorship. Let it be an example for the rest of world, particularly now in the Middle East, that tyrannical and unjust power is never infinite and that the will of the PEOPLE will always prevail. LABAN or fight not with bullets or violence but do it showing solidarity and true love for your country. I'm PROUD TO BE FILIPINO!

  • @jundelacruz780: A Democratic change is not easy and perfect. It has to start somewhere and trials and trepidations will be encountered before a true stability is reached. If the People Power in 1986 didn't happen and let's say the Marcoses are still in dictatorial rule in the Philippines now, do you actually think you will be able to to make any social media comments such as this? Media, TV, radio and probably the internet will still be under censure and government control.

  • Hello to the admin of pilipinasmabuhay100. Im from Bayan Mo, Ipatrol Mo of ABS-CBN. We saw this video you posted on Youtube and we would like to know more about it. Please email your contact details to ireport@abs-cbn.com ASAP. Thank you!

Thank you!

  • HINDI AKO PAPAYAG NA IHAHALINTULAD ANG PEOPLE POWER NATING MGA PILIPINO SA VERSION NG PEOPLE POWER NG MGA MUSLIM COUNTRIES SA MIDDLE EAST! INSULTONG MATINDI YUN PARA SA MGA PILIPINO!

TAYONG MGA PINOY ALAM NATIN ANG PINAGLALABAN NATIN NUON! EH YUNG MGA TAGA MIDDLE EAST NA YAN? GUSTO LANG NILA SIRAIN ANG POLITICAL STABILITY NG BANSA NILA NA WALA NAMANG TYRANT NA PANGULO!

  • @themangix357 I find what you've written as very insulting. Tunisia's Ben Ali, Egypt's Mubarak and Libya's Gaddafi are tyrants - they could easily be compared to Marcos. This is not about Islamist extremism - this is about a people who desire freedom and want democracy to flourish in their countries. Like us, they know that freedom is essential in a nation's progress. I am so proud that People Power first gained prominence due to our historic revolution in 1986. You should be too.

  • @pilipinasmabuhay100 You were insulted by words, I DON'T CARE. And I guess you are too presumptive fool, did I say that Mubarak wasn't a tyrant? Ha! Clearly, I did not.

What I am saying is that those middle easterner fools who are trying to mimic Egypt don't really know what they want for their country. They want freedom? HA! They first need to respect their government! Remember this: IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO RESPECT YOUR GOVERNMENT, YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO RESPECT YOURSELF.

  • @themangix357 Clearly, you didn't say that at all. You actually said: "EH YUNG MGA TAGA MIDDLE EAST NA YAN? GUSTO LANG NILA SIRAIN ANG POLITICAL STABILITY NG BANSA NILA NA WALA NAMANG TYRANT NA PANGULO!"

Governments who bomb their cities and shoot thousands of civilians who have a legitimate right to demand for freedom, justice and human rights do not deserve any respect whatsoever. Why would want to give homage to regimes that do not even want to heed to the cry of their subjects?

Suporta at pang-una kailangan nila kapatid

  • @themangix357 ; Your a disgrace! think before saying shits like this, iddiot -.- kakahiya ka.

  • @themangix357 Agree and disagree.

  • @themangix357 naiintindihan ko where you are coming from, but just like us Pinoys people in the Middle East are fighting for the same human rights as our people has fought for in 1986. As a human being, we all deserve these universal rights. They feel the same discontent with their government and the same commitment to change. It took a while but I think the best we can do is support them.

That's all.

  • @lunaticstargazer You're right. The retrogression of our country started when they were more concerned about their individual human rights and not the general welfare. EDSA is something not to be commemorated. "Democracy is not popular rule, it gives what the people wants, not what they need. Screw the people who elected someone as incompetent as in right now. SO disappointing. People don't understand what EDSA was really about.

  • @gas0701 Now the answer to that is something I'd love to know. I firmly believe that the People of Egypt deserve freedom. Marcos ruled for 20 years, Mubarak , as of today, 30. Marcos's rule ended when Ninoy was shot, Mubarak's rule began when then-President Sadat was shot. Egypt has 80 million people, the Philippines has 90 million. They have Tahrir Square, we have EDSA. :D

  • @pilipinasmabuhay100 history does repeat itself. in a more poetic way than many of us think. MABUHAY ANG KALAYAAN! :D

  • @gas0701 I like your preposition..

  • @drmcdreamy123

well sana nabuhay ka noong panahong iyon...

  • this is how filipinos showed a revolution with prayers not with arms!! and had the courage and strenght thats why im proud to be a pinoy!!

  • @lunaticstargazer yeah your right, EDSA only represent the Manilenos and nearby provinces. therefore its a manifestion of the superiority of the tagalogs over the other filipinos.

  • GREAT VIDEO........p share

  • @lunaticstargazer OH REALLY?!!! CAN I ASK? WAS IT ALL THE NATION ALSO WANTED THE MARTIAL LAW AND MADE MARCOS RULED FOR 20-YEARS?!!! IF EDSA THE DAY STARTED OUR DOWNFALL AS YOU HAVE SAID...MARTIAL LAW AND DICTATORSHIP IS LIKE LIVING IN HELL!!!!

  • @MrManofsteel69 lol YES REALLY!... only in manila where people can't take the discipline he imposed... corrupt? sure, who isn't, but in the north, people loved how discipline works, it was safe and it works, the north didnt live in hell, nobody complained... i never heard about central and south doing the edsa... if everybody hated it then they should've had a national revolt... this was done in edsa and edsa alone... why do you think many of the filipinos still think marcos is the best?

  • @MrManofsteel69 and one more thing, did the succesors bring us to the top like he did.. we were a power back then... and about to be the strongest in ASEAN, not all the nation wanted martial law but many did.. only those who can't take the discipline whined. take a look at china now, don't tell me that country is in deep shit...and that is communist, we are a democracy...

    Sure! No problem!

Best of luck with your project on the People Power Revolution! :-)

  • @pilipinasmabuhay100 may i also use yer pics? :)))

  • @lunaticstargazer yeah..on top of the corruption index!..(peace!) :-)

  • @curacho69 Yes, Mr. Marcos may have left our country infrastructure which we still use today, but while he was supposedly 'improving' our country, Mr. Marcos was also stealing the nation's treasury along w/ his wife, Imelda. The economy faltered during martial law, the human rights situation deteriorated, the national debt worsened, crony capitalism was encouraged and political instability was widespread. As the PCGG discovered, Mr. Marcos accumulated at least $5-10 billion during his rule.

  • i love the song !

    goodluck philippines !

  • I love how there are people on here that comment who have never set foot on Philippine soil, who have the luxury of saying what should have happened or how successful EDSA was while sitting in their big houses and not worrying whether they will be put in jail because they were deemed a threat to a dictator. THIS is what EDSA gave Filipinos, the freedom to speak their mind and actually have opinions. And yet, those same people who have always had that right think they can criticize. JUST SAYING!

  • i wish the son of cory and ninoy would do great in his job wish we expect from him

  • I prefer Tienanmen square massacre over this. for people to learn and realize the effect of the blood shed and foster. not to become proud and become stupid and ruled by stupid Filipino politicians. EDSA REVOLUTION? EPIC FAIL!!!

  • i think edsa would be better remember if right now our country is striving and moving as a progressive nation......if right now we see our country man having those comfort in life and betterment in our society....if right now we could see our country like those s. korean having now...then i would say yes we change and were getting better after edsa!!!!

  • Kitang kita.

  • @willzurmacht: WELL SAID!!!! BRAVO.

  • '86 have truths and lies behind it. If you could see the big picture it aimed for our democracy. But the lies behind it might be much more that we can imagine.

  • I can never say thank you enough to the Aquinos for what they did for the Filipino people. However I see it, theirs was a feat not easy to choice to do.

  • People power back then was "a change of men" when they ousted Marcos.

People power now should be "a change in men," as Dick Gordon says.

We're just fighting amongst ourselves nowadays.

  • @mien18 the REAL CHANGE is that the quality of Filipino lives after that People Power AKA Peole Failure is constantly deteriorating.. IMO the biggest disaster that happen to the Philippines was that when the Filipinos leaders decided to have total independence from America! Filipinos have a better life if their country is still part of USA!

  • People Power or People Failure?

    EDSA means People Failure!

  • People Should Not Be Afraid Of Their Governments. Their Governments Should Be Afraid Of Their People.

  • @icemancotour Tell that to the marines!

  • I stil feel like FIGHTING when I recall this...

  • Napaiyak ako nung narinig ko ito

  • @crashoveridden98 The only president that made the PHILIPPINES to the highest level.

  • Freeh Willie...Freeh Dannie Lim....Mabuhay....!!!!I

    Inang "Bayan"!!!!

    Freeh Atlas...freeh Atlas!!!!

May da best man for da job win...hari nawang we will// be bless ed with better and greater liders!!! Much belongs to da younger generation...will be stormingg heaven for a Peaceful elektion!!!!

  • It's not about politics, EDSA People Power of 1986 is a very relevant event in our history. It is more of SACRIFICE, LOVE OF COUNTRY, UNITY and FILIPINOS. Let us not contribute to conflicts and differences yet, let us promote peace and unity in our own simple way! That's the true spirit of EDSA..

  • ay naku . youre very young pa cguro back then. all those comments chances nasa jail na kayo o salvage na. .

  • allan050372 allan you should have died with marcos you son of a bitch!!!!

  • Macros was a crook i lived there, and as a member of the us air force i had to count all the money he took out of the country and brought with him, to the united states. are hands were crippled from counting the money that they took with them to Hawaii he needed to be shot he was not a hero by any means

  • hello! pwede bang gmitin tong video mu for my report? salamat! nic vid btw! :))

  • @alegremarbii

Ok na ok, my friend! Hope you get a good grade!

    And thanks for the compliment!

Ituloy natin ang kanilang sinumulan! :)

  • @pilipinasmabuhay100

opo! salamat. hnde pa ako nagrereport ee. :))

  • Qng hnd lng cguru masyadong stricto c marcus cguru maggng maganda ang pilipinas, respetado, disiplinado at makapangyarihan,

  • wow ganda nito nakaka touch but it's so sad that the things that we Filipinos have been fighting for before is starting to banished coz looking at the country's situation today it seemed that there is no unity today and that some or most of the officials main goal from the highest position to the lowest is to get some of the country's money.......that's just from my observation....

  • Edsa means betrayal to our Great President

Edsa means betrayal our Filipino People

Edsa means to shames our salves

Edsa means soldiers are still weak and stubborn

  • great president PLEASE HE WAS A CROOK A SCUMBAG A THEIF

  • Compare him to the bad guy in Voltes V and you'll find an uncanny resemblance.

  • @Allan050372 EDSA means the Power of the Filipino People.

EDSA means the spirit of democracy lives on.

EDSA means to remember the sacrifices of our forefathers and the new heroes of our generation.

EDSA means to protect our country's freedom from the darkness of tyranny.

EDSA means to never let a dictator again ruin the foundations of our democracy.

EDSA means that although not all our dreams and aspirations since the revolt are unfulfilled, we must still be thankful that we live in freedom.

  • @MsMakahiya: Tama ka!!!

  • @pilipinasmabuhay100

TUMAYO tayong lahat at magkaisa.

Let us stop bickering and blaming each other. LET US PROVE TO THE WORLD THAT WE ARE DYING FOR!

  • @pilipinasmabuhay100 allan is right and you are wrong. The Freedom of Suffrage means that Filipinos had the right to elect and put a person to be a president. Filipinos were composed of Millions not of Thousands.

  • @curacho69 Well, I never even said that I oppose Freedom of Suffrage, for heaven's sake. The Freedom to Vote by every Filipino citizen is clearly stated in the 1987 Philippine Constitution, ratified during the gov't of President CORAZON AQUINO. Since when did I say we Filipinos have no right to vote whatsoever and that we are only composed of thousands???

You may think I'm wrong, fine, that's your opinion. But I stand by what I have said and by the principles of freedom and democracy.

  • @curacho69 THAT'S WHY IN 1986 SNAP ELECTION-MILLIONS OF FILIPINOS VOTED FOR MADAM CORY!!!!

  • Those who do not learn from their history are condemned to repeat it. This, although the one of the greatest treasures that the Filipino race contributed to the world, materialized from the race's darkest days...However proud we may be, let us not make it happen again... but if needed be, to guard our beloved democracy..., I will be the one of the first few to dare walk in EDSA and defend it.

  • It is always a great pleasure to behold successful Spirit+Strength initiatives in this world. May your example reach many, in kind, to celebrate your musical and social event with great interest. Thanks.

Peace of the LORD, for GOD, The Greater Good be with you and all.

    -Dave Olney

  • dilaw tayo lahat.

mag bigay respeto at gunitain ang rebolusyong

    nag pabagsak sa diktaduryang marcos.

    salamat tita cory.

  • Happy Anniversary to our Great People Power Revolution!

Congratulations to all who fought against the dictatorship!

    Mabuhay!
