Pantene is AWESOME! i LOVE IT, and they are the only products that I will ever use on my hair. It makes my hair so soft and silky and shiny, and grows it so fast. Salon companies ingredients are no better than Pantene's. they are even adding panthenol to their products which pantene has had for decades. You liars must be salon owners, or work for salon companies because there is no way that pantene could have damaged hair..blah..blah. you must have an underlying issue cuz' Pantene is the bomb.

Pantene pro-v is not for everyone. It will damage your hair if you have the wrong hair type... It will coat your hair with fruit wax, and that happens to damage some people's hair and dry it out... The fruit wax is extremely hard to remove, and requires an expensive stripping shampoo. So, purchase it with extreme caution. I used it two weeks ago, and my hair is still sticky and damaged from using it... Definitely not for everyone. It can be very bad for your hair.

I love patene too. I use patene moisture and renewal shampoo+conditioner. Pantene works.  I have used it before it actually works.

Pantene Pro V is honestly fantastic! Whoever says it bad probally say it is because they THINK there own beautiful Loréal Paris is the best when they havnt even tried Pantene! I use it all the time and my hair is like Hopes and Melissa's! There hair is beautiful because they use it. I use different shampoos that only make my hair clean. And it gets all fuzzy. If you dont use it, your crazyy. Its fantastic!

Well, if you have dry and boring and damaged hair BUT you want it to look good and style it alot you should just use Pantene since it makes your hair shine and look neat (but its dry under the wax, but it still looks awesome)

Very! Your hair stops producing natural oils and gets an addiction to it. If you stop using it your hair feels so dry and straw like but if you keep using the good stuff your hair starts producing the natural oils again. Also continued use of the stuff makes it harder for coloring your hair and when you flat iron your hair the silicone burns buring your hair in the process

I am a fan of Aveda shampoos and conditioners... depending on your hair type I'd recommend a different product but working for an Aveda store I learned that it is a FAR superior product to Pantene, no comparasion really. Aveda is on average 95% natural ingrediants so you are not only getting great results for your hair, but you are helping the envorinment at the same time! If I sound biased... I am I will admit it but I love it so much!

I understand... I used it myself before I discovered the silicone. It does make your hair "appear" healthy and shiny... and its cheap so thats why people love it. I try everything before I judge. If you want your hair to look good but be completely damaged afterwards please... go and use it. If you want to have hair that looks and is actually healthy... a salon brand is the only way to go!

If you want something good for your hair I would try Pure Abundance. It is volumizing with NO silicone or sodium lauryl sulfate, which is in most grocery brands. it has Acacia, Babassu, Calendula, Honey, and Marshmallow to plump your hair up! Best volume ever!

but doesnt anybody use hair serum? its full of cones too! my hair is naturally curly, thick, coarse, and frizzy and i have to use lots of conditioner and even a little bit of my fav paul mitchell skinny serum otherwise my hair ends up a big frizzball! i've heard that girls with my hair type love pantene... true or not?

i HATE pantene. it damaged my hair so badly i had to cut most of it off. not like a buss cut, but from long to really short. it smeels really good but it's bad for your hair.

i hav mixed feeling for pantene they hav been changing all there products. I personally have been using the product for 11 years but as the years progress i seem to feel as if it does not work as good as it used to. I'm not sure if theres anyone one who feels this way. But there are so MANY hair products out there to use, but i can't seem to find out which is the best bcuz i hav sensitive hair. Then my hairdresser told me not to use salon brand to often bcz it strips all of the natural hair oils

Silicone is NOT bad for your hair. This is a common fallacy. Do some research on this by authors like Paula Begoun.

I work in a high class salon and have literally scraped silicone off of someones hair, and have had colors turn out faded or not show up at all because the color couldn't penetrate the plastic on a guests hair. It may not damage the hair shaft, but by sealing down the cuticle it prevents any good oils from getting in leaving your hair dry and eventually damaged underneath the "healthy shine" that shampoos like pantene give.

can i just say...

comeing from a hairdresser.

the only reason why it feels so smooth ect.

its because its full with silicone which is bad for your hair.

it coats the hair shaft and when you go to dye it the colour doesnt grab aswell.

with salon shampoo and condition it does have silicone but its water soluble while the silicone in pantene is not.
