@23dhindsa hm... well i will need some more details, as in was it in the middle of printing something when this happened, or did u just turn it on and it was there?
This printer sucks. Within 2 months of using it, it was amazing but then I started getting that Red LED error. The front was closed, the paper trayed was closed, I did about everything and I still can't print at all. What even sucks is that I can only print that stupid Maintenance sheet whenever you press that blue button. It's fucked up.
hey man can you give me step by step instructions to follow to connect the wifi capability...currently i have it wired because i don't know how to use its wifi. Any help would be appreciated. thank you.
@marcmody well, when i was installing the wireless, i had some problems with setting it up... because my Wifi is password protected, it wouldn't set up correctly, so what i did was put the setup cd in, while the printer was connected via LAN, then i chose the wireless set up, and there is an option for setting it up with a LAN cable, so i chose this, and it worked fine... once it tells you to remove the cable, do so, and put it where you wish then
@marcmody you hold the power button for a while (the lights will start to light up, then the power button will flash for a bit, then when the printer starts to spool up paper, then you let go, it will print out a network description sheet, if it has a IP address (not all 0s) then it should work, if it doesn't, try turning the printer off and on again, also it wont connect immediately when you turn it on, i say give it 30 seconds b4 u print the sheet... hope this is helpful
it depends on the toner you purchase, they have one (the tn 360) that prints around 2600 (i have found off brands for around $20-$30) but the one from brother is around $70 i think. but they also have the tn 330 that prints 1600 pages, i think the price from brother is around $40 or something. but i am currently using off brands and apparently they are refillable (i will see...) but they are MUCH cheaper than buying the ones from brother.
@cameraguy98 kool thanks 4 reply man but can u tell me da different between a drum and a toner because im lookin at this other laser printer and it says da drum paint 12,000 pages
there are two replicable parts for a laser printer, the toner actually holds the material that gets printed onto the paper, and the drum, which helps in the actual printing of the paper. you can look it up on Wikipedia if u wish for more detail, but you need both to print, the drum just lasts longer than the toner. laser printers are great, but expensive to maintain!
i found the easiest way is to set the printer next to the router, then connect the printer via Ethernet cable to the router, then insert the CD on a computer connected to the network. select either complete install, or set up printer depending if you have the drivers on the computer. then when you get to the printer setup, select cabled set up, then it will automatically find the printer, then it will be done, you should be able to unplug the printer and have it work wireless.
It's the slot for the direct feed, for printing stuff like envelopes and heavy cardstock. There's a slot on the back of the printer so they can go directly through without getting curled, though you can also have them come out the top.
Mines better looking. It's all one color, unlike the one in the video.

peoples brothers are crap, no quality in them.
HPs are the best.
woodss82 1 year ago
@woodss82 Brother makes lower end printers, and this is one of them. For the price of this printer, you shouldn't be talking.

@KingMacintosh rubbish I know printers well and this printer does not cut to to my standard HP all the way.

how long does the printer take to warm up after you turn it on? Thanks!

I used to have this printer. It was great. I upgraded to a professional one, since it's faster for printing manuscripts.
