Parents need to monitor their children while they are on the internet. There is FREE software available from the Australian Government to filter the internet at the home level. The Rudd Government needs to leave the internet alone and start helping the Australian people become more educated.

With the internet, however, everything you view is, in some sense, your fault. That is why the internet has different censorship rules than other medias. i think the 25% agreed wasn't informed about the limitation of the filtering. Most likely they were given the impression of blocking only the CP and adult sites.
If you tell them, the internet will be monitored like they are in Iran and China where government is fully controlled and you can't voice anti-comments to the government, then i'm very sure their perspectives will changed dramatically.
