  • My locs are 15 months and really started to gray when I did the big chop.. Hair after it looses it's color will start to become wirey. I use Jamaican Mango & Lime for Gray and Resistance Hair.. It seems to help tame the gray hair and keep it from looking "frizzy"..Oh yeah... I'm loving my mixed gray..

  • I hadn't thought about this topic yet.... but if I had to answer now, because I have a ton of highlights in my locs, I'd probably prefer to tone down to one color & embrace my grey. I think. lol!

  • What I plan on doing to my hair when it grey is allowing in to do its thing. I have dyed my hair, but only because of a purpose. all the expierences and pain I've been through that what they symbolize. I only have 7 locs dye and 3or4 half way. I say you should just let the grey come in and embrace everything that comes with it. Locs are more than a hairstyle, but its a lifestyle.

  • @Melodiclocs my locs are not a lifestyle for me. They FIT my lifestyle but my life is not built around or tied to the fact that I rock locs.

I already stated that I plan on embracing my gray, but not with gray roots to my locs, and brown tips. I would rather cut my locs and let my gray grow out.

  • I personally use henna for the same reasons that you said the dirty brown colour, I have a few grey hairs but the henna does not dye grey hairs, that suites me because I actually love to see grey hair on locs.

  • @MosaicMaiden I have never tried henna but may give it a shot if it helps boost natural color and leaves the gray alone! Thanks for the tip!
