  • LOVE IT!!!!

  • i'm appalled that someone could actually figure out how to play this

  • Жгёт

  • he is my dad lol!!!

  • good job

  • That shit ain't easy! Tuck is more on the level of Joe Pass, Herb Ellis, Stanley Jordon. Folks, I live and breath Hendrix, Jeff Beck, John McLaughlin....Jazz guitar, especially fingerstyle put you in a different leage Of course playing is one thing. A person can learn almost anything. Its be able to conjure up these arrangments in the first place. I can't say as I have never seen it, but I bet you hande Tuck Jimi and Eddie's rig and head tear your head off!

  • i still LOVE JOE PASS THO!

  • Agreed. It doesn't sound out of tune, and if there is any slight pitch variation it is probably due to either the intonation, or the fact he's playing so fast: the pressure of strings on frets obviously affects the pitch. Great work fella!

  • I don´t think the instrument is out of tune. When you play complex figures and have a problem hitting the tones perfectly because it´s played to fast or you have to stretch your finger really far from eachother to manage, then you press the string towards or away from the body of the guitar which causes the tone to "bend", creating the out-of-tune effect. Play slower or practise more to avoid.

  • Agree. But no guitar is ever truly in tune. Guitar intonation is always a compromise, it's just the nature of the instrument. If you ever play with a keyboardist, you're never in tune across the whole neck. So, you pick the sweet spots and stay there.

  • A keyboard is not truly in tune. A note should sound different depending on what key you play it in.

  • No, you're wrong. A given note on a piano is always a multiple of some base frequency. Say you play a C note: No matter what C note you play on the keyboard, they will not be out of tune with any other C note above or below it. This is not true on a guitar. A C on a guitar will be out of tune with almost every other C played in different positions on the same guitar because of the nature of the instrument. It cannot be accurately intonated across all strings.

  • A keyboard defaults to the Twelve tone equal temperament tuning system. Any tuning system is a compromise. Google temperament tuning. Some keyboards support other tuning systems. You can also find youtube videos on this topic.

    PS I teach music.

  • Ok, well, how about this experiment? Go to your piano and play the highest C along with the lowest C. Guess what? They will be in tune. Now do the same thing with a guitar. They won't be in tune. Now ask yourself why.

PS: I teach music too. Oh yeah, I also have a degree in engineering.

  • I am just saying equal temperament tuning IS a compromise. If you do not understand that is ok. My degree is in computer science. I have taken some engineering classes.

  • Ask yourself WHY a guitar is not in tune with itself across the entire fretboard. If you were right, there would be no need for things such as the Earvana compensated nut, the Buzz Feiten tuning system, or even more bizarre fixes such as the True Temperament Fretting System for guitar (do yourself a favor and look them up). Also look up Dante Rosati's harmonic series guitar.

  • Excellent comment!!!

    I agree..

Some people fuss & obsess over intonation & tuning..

Yet one of the main qualities of the instrument is it's instability..

  • WOW! But why the out-of-tune guitar? Same with the other clip! These are pearls and the bad tuning smudges it up :( Thumbs up for the playing, awesome.

  • .... but out of tune :D

  • that was very nice!!!

  • I'm having a hard time hearing/not hearing the missing 1/2 star in the rating. One of the very best 'unknown' guitarists in the world.

  • He's a very good player, but labeling him one of the very best unknown guitar players in the world is a little extreme don't you think?

  • Well, I'm 56 and have seen quite a few players (and play myself) in concert including Tuck, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, John McLaughlin, Leo Kottke, Steve Howe, Alvin Lee, etc and Tuck ranks right up there for what he does so no, I don't think that's extreme (unless you mean the 'unknown' part.)

  • I see now- you meant Tuck Andress himself. I thought you meant this guy in the video playing his version of a Tuck song. That would be extreme. Saying Tuck is one of the best in the world is definitely no exaggeration.

  • That...Is....Insane Lol

  • Cool. I can dig this....you need an 8 string....
