Have you thought of doing some kind of physiology course or something at college? You would be really good at it! You seem easy to talk to, calm gentle and soft voice. How to make a dog stop doing something you don't want it to:

first: With your fingers, just make them all straight, so the middle finger is the highest.

Second: not too too hard, but use your middle finger to poke Mac on top of his front leg, so on his torso. If he doesn't respond to it right away do it again and then if he still doesn't listen, give him a very light pinch, just enough that it won't injure him ;) I do it with my dog, works very well :)
