Not the best performance of the song, but definitely my favorite kiss-lineup.. this was "rebel kiss".. still in makeup, but eric was there, and vinnie was there, driving paul and gene crazy cause they never managed to tame him :p He should've been on the Creatures-cover.. would've been nice to photoshop him in ace's place (god bless ace, by the way, love him) and make gene sign the picture.. see his reaction :p Creatures, Lick it up and Revenge all had some good moments because of vinnie.

actually, he was more like rhoads than anything. and, you really must not have paid too much attention to the solos or your opinion would be a little bit different. vinnie had a remarkable sense o style. he pretty much was the key writer of the albums creatures and lick it up. plus the collaberations on revenge later on.

Ok, and please, don't take it as an offensive commentary, cause it's not, but I don't like the guitars on Lick it up. It's pure La glam metal, and the best songs of Kiss are the ones under the influence of Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, The New York Dolls, T.Rex and Alice Cooper.Then it became business, it was an effort to sound closer to Motley Crue or Van Halen. Ozzy did the same thing (as u mentioned rhoads). But the band lost it's character. So, I think those fast guitars don't suit Kiss

I dunno, I mean, the Stones lasted too, with a few studio material and a good amount of tours. AC/DC, same thing. So, Kiss could go on forever anyway - many bands didn't last moslty because of drugs and ego, than music itself. But I see your point of view, you like 80s american metal, naturally you hafta like that Kiss era, with shreddin guitars. A matter of taste, that's ok. I prefer 70s rock and the sound of les paul better than ESP for ex. I didn't know about the VH thing, that's interesting.

I saw the 10th anniversity tour. And I loved it. This is my favorite line up. Vinnie was a great guitarist. It was a shame that he was not a team player. He changed the Kiss sound. But anyway, the concert brought great joy to me. I will never forget it. Creatures is my favorite kiss album.

Best live act in the history of Rock n' Roll. Simmons' Demon costuming at its best. Looks great coupled with the axe bass.
