IMO the stock sounded a hell of a lot better than the FRPP X-Pipe and Mufflers. For some reason the Mustang with the mods sounded like a V6 with a true dual exhaust setup. The deeper tone on the stock exhaust actually sounded more aggressive and beefy to me. I have an 07 GT with no cats and flowsound mufflers and it makes my car sound like a beast! Check me out.

@taleel22 lol, you have got to be kidding NEVER put cherrybombs on a mustang, and as nice as flowmasters sound on 80's and 90's mustangs, they sound like crap on the 03 and 04 cobras, and sound like crap on the 05 plus mustangs. I have a 05 with bassani catless x pipe and borla stingers. Sounds AMAZING! *smh* cherrybombs on a mustang.

Sorry, but the stock sounds almost as good as the X and GTAs. The difference is there, but it's not nearly enough for the money. You would have been better off investing an a set of Mac Boomtubes or something similar. Much better (deeper & louder) sound for relatively fewer dollars. And the difference between the Boomtubes and stock mufflers in like night and day.

I have the same mufflers. Had them about a 1,000 miles. I had them about a week and then had a muffler shop weld up a custom x-pipe, which is a lot like the FRPP x-pipe. They got quieter with the x-pipe. I like the sound but wish they were a little louder. I hope they get louder like you say. I kind of wish I had gotten Corsas.

x-pipe takes the deepness of the V8 sound away, they should put a off-road h-pipe in it like the one from Pypes, then it will sound A LOT deeper than the stock pipe which is also a h-pipe.

The more miles on the mufflers the better they sound. I'll need to post some video once I get a couple thousand miles on them. Friend's 2005 GT with the same exact exhaust but more miles on them definitely sounds louder.
