my favorite contestant in 7 years of idol. in fact, first time i heard her, i thought "what's this girl doing on idol?" she's so far and away in a different league than all the others, before or since....

she gave this song an understated sultriness that was the hallmark of the era of that song, so good job girl!

I think some transfers from video to dvd are green because of anti-copy technology. That happened with me when I used my old vcr into my new dvr - everything came out green! I bought a dvr with a built-in vcr and that didn't happen, but it also would not copy some of my programs after 20 seconds!

This is really sad that we Americans have put be down because of there look. She is a talent singer and certainley one the best in all 7years of American Idol. Voice wise she should have won.Melinda has beautiful spirit and I am sure that if one of us was down and out Melinda would try give a help hand. She would not base it on ones look. If you listen with your ears and not your eyes...can't you tell that Melinda is just a superlative and superior TALENT...she can sing 4-part acappella standards and then tear the roof off with her power and grace...that guy Blake was not anywhere near her talent level.

Great performance. She is so effortless and chocolatey, but it wasn't too exciting. And her outfit.. why was she dressed like Queen Elizabeth II? I wish she HAD sung a Celia Cruz song. It would have been REALLY exciting.

I think it is a little unfair for them to expect her to give a "WOW Factor" performance every time out. Her work has been consistently solid. It's not realistic to expect anyone to hit it out of the park every time at bat.
