  • I want one!!

  • I love shibas! <3 Bet he was happy to get a bit of play time out of his cage :)

  • I 1 a shiba-inu as well!

  • Shiba Inus rescue groups have good dogs....find em on the Internet

  • Icewind is abusive!! =0?????

  • Y isn't it like Icewind Farm???? Only wanted to know because I might get a dog from there as I live pretty close...

  • i have a shiba, they r soooooo cute.

  • Aww, lookit the little thing ^_^

Haha, that's almost exactly like when first saw a Shiba. It was a bigger pet store,so the puppy had more room to run around, and she'd stop dead in her tracks to play and chew on a piece of straw from the rabbit bedding. She was the cutest puppy I've ever seen. These dogs are something else.

  • not all pet stores get their dogs from puppy mills...some pet stores have rescue dogs even...it's stupid that people make such generalizations...it's a super cute puppy btw:) thanks for posting it.

  • totally agree with you, you just have to check your sources. ask the store what breeder they purchased the puppy from and then get in contact with the breeder to make sure.

  • its because most of those "generalizations" are TRUE. very few stores have rescue dogs unless its one of those adoption events at petco or something. and if any petstores claim that their dogs are from breeders they're bullshitting you. no legitimate breeder would allow their dogs to be sold in pet stores. legitimate breeders breed to better the breed, not to make a fast buck. anyone that buys at a petstore is only supporting puppy mills and backyard breeders.

  • dont think all breeders are perfect either i know icewind doesnt take care of their dogs my friend got a dog from there and it was so skitterish because all the others picked on it as a puppy

  • oh my god, my shiba inu is from icewind as well and she has serious anger problems. They are so bad that the trainer said that she might even need medication. She has bitten me several times and is really frightening when she gets possessive. She's very friendly with strangers, though. I'm wondering if her problem is because of the breeder as well.

  • Oh, wow, I browsed their site before and I don't think I'll get a shiba inu from them O_O

  • Wow I am glad I did not get my puppy from her ... I also browsed her site but somehow I felt that something was not right...

  • I WAS GONNA BUY A SHIBA THERE ASWELL!

  • omg, I actually called them and wanted one since they were in new jersey and close to NY. However, I didnt get one in the end since that little girl on the phone was so fcking snobby and that thank god my dad didn't know how to get to that dam farm. I thought they were legit but obviously they're not. Not all akc dogs are good. I think the best is to go to a good breeder.

I wish you the best on your poor puppy.

  • u must have been well lucky to find a shiba in a pet store! i had 2 search for AGES to find one for me...

  • Gte one from a shiba inu breeder they are more convientent and more respectful than the ones from the pet store(no offence)

  • ... i know that

  • They sell DOGS at pet stores? Poor things. :(

  • awwe. i want one sooo bad! =D

  • I wish I had that puppy! He's so cute. Good luck with him/or her? lol ;) <333 Shiba inus are the best dogs in the worrrrllddd. I have 3 on Nintendogs lol.

  • Give me that dog NOW

  • right you might think wtf just shut up you loser..but where is the right place to get a Shiba Inu because there are all these bad places and stuff and i don't want to accidentally support something bad =[

  • u dont have to get one from a pet store or somthin like that, u can find a breeder for a shiba, too.

  • did u got that bracelet back cause he is very addicted to it but a cute dog :)

  • Yeah I got it back, but I had to fight for it XD

  • Very adorable. I don't support pet stores that sell puppies either (I won't even buy toys/food from them) but my mom and I were once in one in NJ and we pretended like we might be interested just so the puppy could get some interaction.

Then the employees do their little speil trying to convince us to buy one. :-P

  • I have a two year old shiba inu they are the most fun and playful dogs ever

  • soo cute!

    i love shiba inus!

best dogs all over the world!

  • Petstores ... they give half of your money to the puppy mill... poor poor puppy... PET LAND IS EVIL!!

  • well...most stores do, but the pet shop near us actually gets their puppies from a local shelter.

  • i have a shiba n all they wanna do is play

  • He's adorable. But I feel bad for his parents that are over at the puppy mill. I really hope you didn't buy him and support that.

  • i breed shiba inus and i have about 4. :33

  • This makes me really sad that they're selling them at pet stores. Pet store dogs= puppy mill dogs. =(

  • ugggh u guys ruined this comment board with to much education. need *gasp* more *gasp* video games!!! *gasp* *die* lmao

  • Shibas are not what I would call a "caring" breed as a rule. They tend to be very aloof and self-contained and are horrible off leash. They are great dogs for the right owner personality, but are definitely not like most other dogs. We have two and I love them to death, but there are breed quirks that may lead some people to get rid of their pup when it grows out of its cute puppy phase.

  • They become very spoiled. And no,they are small dogs. But,they might be to big for daycare...mine is 5 and is the size of a baby(about 22 inches)

  • i have one to they can be REALLY hyper as pups but when they get older they start getting better they're also really caring and make you feal comfetable

  • I have THREE of the little devils... Cute, but handfulls.

  • Do they grow very big. I want to get one but my mom wants to run a daycare, so i cant get a big one.

  • they can be anywhere from 15 lbs on the small side and 30 on the very large side. My shiba gets along well with children. As long as they are raised with children or other dogs they should be fine. The problems come when shibas aren't properly socialized from when they are very small.
