  • Did we come her for lessons or tone tips? you kids are really backwards huh?... i mean it's not like him having overdrive has anything of relevance to your playing... you can see and play back with whatever tone you want...

  • Another great and useful lesson, Andrew. Thanks, man!!!!

  • Do this long enough and you end up in that Scott Henderson, Robben Ford, Larry Carlton place...

  • Nice distortion/tone, nice phrasing, nice scale, cool ideas. This guy sounds pro, I'd like to walk into a club and hear him playing rather than the average hack player that seems to be in nearly every bar band. Don't understand why the complaints? Thanks for a cool lesson.

  • Andrew - one of the best "study videos" I have seen out here...your guitar playing is beyond ridiculous! Note...I grew up outside of Boston...and the word ridiculous means amazing!

  • Thanks for this lesson man! This helped me so much! Keep them comin'!

  • This scale is EXCELLENT for creating dark obscure riffs!

    Fuck blues.

  • @leopower7 ....metal asshole...

  • @F3FisGoodforYou

Don't diss metal please. Diss the ignorant metal heads, but not metal. :(

  • @leopower7

No. Fuck you! All music should be admired for what they are, whether you like them or not, especially blues. You won't be listening to what you listen to today if not for blues so show some respect. Idiot.

  • @leopower7 fuck you

  • UGH!

  • It would be great to demonstrate the licks over a backing track at the end of the video - Great lesson - thanks

  • 1:00 sounds... "evil" Ò.ó

  • Great lesson - thanks

  • how do u get your clean sound like that?

  • its not the tone man the content of what he's teaching matters

  • @jimbang right on, ppl always have to bitch about something it seems.

  • nice info...

  • Nice playing, but what a terrible sound man

  • whats with the distortion

  • @RDblues47 I think the distortion is appropriate, this is actually a very heavy metal scale, in fact Slayer's 3rd riff form Raining Blood (its actually whole-half but they sound very similar) is basically downward scale runs off this scale with some power chords, and I think its their most famous riff.

  • Suh-weet licks, but the tone is rather un-bluesy. I'd like to hear this stuff with a less shrill and more gritty OD tone.

  • Great lesson Andrew!

  • I love how you explain each note and its relationship to the whole. Keep up the fantastic lessons Andrew!
