  • i grew up with ed cherry in new have ct. he lived on read st. in newhallville. he truly played that guitar from the time he was a chid. there was a lot of talent in that hood. i know he remembers playing knock on wood with clifford byrd. ed this is yours truly tony parker amd im proud to say i grew up with a jazz legend from the hood! man the whole neighborhood is proud of that great new have boy ed cherry

  • wow ... nice rare clip. Check out the young Ignacio Berroa on drums! Notice his set-up.. Dizzy always liked his drummers to accompany him on the china cymbal.

    (I think it's Ed Cherry on guitar. not sure who is on bass..).
