i've recently been trying to find bluegrass punk bands and have only found a small handful of what I feel fits the bill. I'll see punk bluegrass descriptions but they often feel like straight up bluegrass. This shit was good. Banjo, violin, distortion, speed... good job.
what an amazing band, i only got to see them live once (Reading Festival 90 or 91)
still have the photos somewhere to remind me how good they were

Good, innit? Largely because we were all punk in ethos from the first time around (1976/77) and English... good to hear you like it

it might be because ollie reed went up to salt creek near lym town city
richiemaru 3 years ago
Its because its a cover of an old song called 'Salt Creek' and Oliver Reed used to drink in 'Champagne Charlie's' in Lymington...

Great stuff!
I can vaguely make out images of Oliver Reed in the background - is that why its called Oliver Reed (goes to salt creek) ?

Sort of, the images are there because of the song title. A subtle difference, I know!...
