2 gags from droopy appear in this cartoon first is the one at 2:28 where Barney get's stuck on a ballet dancer poster which is from senor droopy (1949) and the second one is at 4:57 to 5:14 which is from Wag to Riches (also 1949) where Spike try to shoot droopy threw the camera but only ending up shooting himself and seeing a hole when he walks away :D
@penguinrobotme both droopy and barney bear uses Tom's scream and in another episode where Barney's trying to kill a white rabbit it screams like Jerry lol :D
The Dick Lundy Barney cartoons were always the best. They gave Barney more of a personality, mainly due to actually being able to talk. Any Barney cartoon where Barney talked that wasn't a Dick Lundy cartoon was crap. The only non-talking Barney cartoon I liked was the Wildhoney episode.
I love how Barney Bear yells "Helllp!" when tied to the model train tracks :P

I also recall the MGM glass-shattering noise heard at 3:08 was later used by Hanna-Barbera as well (mostly during the 1960s.)
