I agree with the other two comments. Whatever works best for you is the way to go, but with the Nino, I'd just go ahead and lose the tapping of the PF all together. Unless you're trying to updose, the only thing you're accomplishing is beating the crap out of your equipment. If you want to updose, I find the Chicago Chop to be a very effective and non-destructive method.
