Sadly when it's not a drill people can actually get killed so that's why it's important for everybody to know what to do. It's not overly dramatic because school shootings do happen. As for not running......well in some cases it's a damn good idea to run out the back door of the class room if you have one. Class room doors are extremely weak

There are practice lockdown drills these days since the Columbine High school shooting. When I was in high school we had 2 lock down drills I know of took place. Then we had 1 real lock down due to the DC area Snipers. But we were able to switch classes and be dismissed that day but just had to remain on lock down for the rest of the day. Then the following month all school outdoor activities were suspended until the snipers were caught.
I had a lockdown in middle school when I was in 8th grade. It was ok. Although the class I was in played board games during it and people who had music on them could play it (only on low though, didnt want to alert the "killers" outside).

I remember when I had a code red lock down in my school. It was some heavy ass shit and while my teacher was doing some bullshit under her desk I just walked out of the room crouching and ran all the way to the side doors jumped a fence and what do u know, There was a guy standing behind a shed. He jumped on me and i manged to get out of a head lock kick him in the face and run home. Just the cops were kinda pricks and thought i was the guy trying to kill everyone.

when i was in 3rd grade in eleamentrey school we had a lockdown (our district call's them a CODE Z) because some guy got heart and thay wanted the hall's clear or something i forget and the techer and the student's and i hudeled in the corner for about 3 to 4 minite's or longer i forget. and this happend 6 year's ago in 2004

There are practice lockdown drills these days since the Columbine High school shooting. When I was in high school we had 2 lock down drills I know of took place. Then we had 1 real lock down due to the DC area Snipers. But we were able to switch classes and be dismissed that day but just had to remain on lock down for the rest of the day. Then the following month all school outdoor activities were suspended until the snipers were caught.

I had a lockdown in middle school when I was in 8th grade. It was ok. Although the class I was in played board games during it and people who had music on them could play it (only on low though, didnt want to alert the "killers" outside).
I hard on that same day, in an elementary school and a 6th grader in the middle school had Iphones with 3g and were watching porn during it. It was a rumor, but I was laughing my ass off.
This guy is stupid, releases kids during lockdown. Smart.

We had a lockdown when some kid called in a bomb threat (he didn't want to take a test that day!). You'd think they'd let us leave the school if they thought it was going to blow up, but nope, we sat in homeroom all day long.

I was at the CFB Trenton Airbase in Ontario Canada and i was there for a course but the course was cut short to go to a highschool that had a knife fight...i was ordered to get students out section by section. I had a pistol aswell incase anything got out of hand
