I agree, many fangirls were tramatized over how Matt appeared in 2 scenes. But for the most part, it is incredibly true to the manga-I reconize a little of the lines- and no fillers! :D
i didn't the huge changes of the anime. i did like the small changes such as : when L first sees misa he says "i envy you" ryuk is not there in the anime but he is in the manga it was kinda a pointless to have ryuk there during that time.
but it you read the manga and watch the anime you can tell what was change in order to keep the plot moving.
when you mentioned the fillers i was glad some were cut out but some fillers were in fact important to the story

L says "Watashi wa" while Light says "Bokku wa." If I'm correct, watashi is the simpler, gender neutral version while bokku is more masculine. Boys and girls both use watashi, but usually girls don't use bokku. It's just one of those subtle character differences that you don't get in the english dub.

It's really correct, that's the ENGLISH TRANSLATION but in Japanese, it's literally meaning "I'm the Justice". And Light was like GA so it would also have been GA also for L =.=

Well it all depends on your personality on which form of "I" you want to use in Japanese.
L uses Watashi which is very common because it can be used by both men and women. You can pretty much use it around anybody, but Watakushi is more formal.
Light uses Boku which I've always thought is a little less formal than Watashi. It is also only used by men.
In my opinion L is just more polite than Light is.

It's really correct, that's the ENGLISH TRANSLATION but in Japanese, it's literally meaning "I'm the Justice". And Light was like GA so it would also have been GA also for L =.=

Nope, Light always uses "Boku ga", for example "Boku ga Kira da", but L says always "Watashi wa" like in "Watashi wa L desu". ;)

Wah, try listening to it again with loud volume, he said Ga X_x And you noticed that they were kinda like competing for who was the justice right? And they're saying that themselves are THE justice instead of the other X_x You'd really know that ga would really fit the situation if you know Jap well enough. Anyway, lol, let's just stop this, it's taking up so much of the comment space XD Let's just say that Light said he's the justice and L also said he's the justice and it started the battle :3

Oh, it's kinda literally how it's written, "Bo-ku ga, wa-ta-shi ga see(not see as in look)-gi da!"

Why do they use different words for "I" ? Raito uses boku but L uses watashi.. :S

Well it all depends on your personality on which form of "I" you want to use in Japanese.
L uses Watashi which is very common because it can be used by both men and women. You can pretty much use it around anybody, but Watakushi is more formal.
Light uses Boku which I've always thought is a little less formal than Watashi. It is also only used by men.
In my opinion L is just more polite than Light is.
