40 glock with the laser dot and i can make mash patatoes outta tater totts.
For all the fag drake and lil wayne fans; this is mobb music and shit you cant handle. E-40 will put all your gay new rappers who are wanksters to shame.
Heres a good example of a wanna be gangsta; Rick Ross. that nigga was a correction officer before he was a rapper, talkin about he a thug and what not.
E-40 and much more that started the game dont talk too much because they're real G's. just speaking the facts..
@mik367 well Ross was a correction officer... and smuggled drugs into prison as an insider. Just sayin. Im not sayin Ross is better than E40 (he aint) just puttin it out there. E40 is still a G, thats a fact
like Kat Williams said "We need haters" So whoever did they job by hating on this song....... need to stick to that gay rap they listen to. BIOTCH!!!!!!!!!!
Im an older cat, and I really do miss this type of shit from 40. All that hyphy shit just didn't fit him. But we still go dumb to gangsta shit out here anyway. 40 could just keep doin' him and makin that vintage Bay Area gangsta shit, and people are gonna go stupid regardless. Love this one! WUSSUP UCE!!!!!!
40 you really do it on ALL 4 of the shifts. I love how you stay true to what you do and stay real unique with your flows and verses. I notice a lot of talent on the album. However I wish you were utilizing the artists better. T-Pain's track should have killed. And I know you are big time, but that needs to be shown through who is featured on your tracks. Wayne, Ross, Too $hort, Drake, Wiz would bring so much more hype and following to an album. If that isn't your style then grab some of the
younger, "New Bay," artists to hop on your tracks. Allow them to feed of your fan base and gain hype. The younger artists also have a following that would bring attraction to your album. And most of all, they are marketable and have potential to have a future where they blow up. This bring only more attention to the Bay, which in the end, helps you. I'm not a hater. I'm a true fan. Just throwing in my opinion.
@NOHHissue How is collaborating w/ artists of your caliber selling out? Its better than hooking up w/ Gucci Mane or Slim Thug. I stated that he could collaborate w/ newer, marketable artists in the Bay to expose their talents.
"F*** going double platinum, I'm trying to go double profit." - E-40
You can't argue that an artist like Wayne or Drake wouldn't help him reach that goal. When you reach a certain level in the game, which 40 has, I don't think it's selling out, I think its going in.
@allstarshort13 Are you suggesting that Drake, the random pop of the minute artist, is on the same level as E-40 who has been dropping classics for 20 years? Really?
@allstarshort13 If you think a Drake fan is going to buy an E-40 CD because Drake is on it....you're misled. All that would do it get his fans to stop supporting him. How are they the same caliber? Are they as talented as him? No. Does he have as many fans? No. Does he sell as much? No. Does he make the same type of music? No. And yes, you're a sellout if you quit working with people you like (what you're suggesting) to work with who's "pop" at the moment.
@NOHHissue Not at all what I was suggesting. A Drake featured track would attract a new group of individuals who may not know of or been familiar with 40. Therefore this might spark their interest into listening to what he has to offer, which I believe to be great. Thus leading them to possibly making a purchase. I feel 40 carries a lot of dead weight rappers on his tracks. His verses are fire, and I feel he can improve on the featured verses and this would take him to another level.
@allstarshort13 ok, he doesn't really have dead weight rappers on his album. J-stalin, stevie Joe and his son who makes some of the beats are not dead weight. he has young local artist and artist from his neck of the woods. they all help each other get money. if he did put anybody like that on his track, he's not really helping from where he came from. E-40 has many other investments and owns restaurants, ect. i doubt he cares about all of that. more young people than you think know E40
@mrhazel I don't know if you read my whole opinion. I stated that he could use big name artists or younger talent from the Bay. Droop-E is a great producer, but not much of a rapper. J-Stalin and Stevie Joe are alright but they don't have the hype or following like some other younger guys have. My recommendations were guys like Bobby Brackins, Roach Gigz, D-Lo, Lil B (As much as I hate to say that), & Stunnaman. And trust me, I know more than enough about 40, I was just touching on his music.
@allstarshort13 i read everything you said but what you're not understanding is that is not e40's genre. bobby brackens and all of those guys are pretty much bubble gum rap and defiantly not the same style. it just wouldn't fit in a song. . if you said Hurricane Chris then i would agree. besides, if you have a good recipe that makes money, why change what works? if it's not broke, don't try and fix it. like i said, E40 has his money in more places than one
@mrhazel Bubble Gum Rap = Hurricane Chris! But there is a misunderstanding... I'm not saying anything is broke. I love what 40 does, I've been a fan for many moons. But I'm just throwing my opinion out there to see improvements. You win a championship and the next season you still look to improve. And for the record, 40 is working with Brackins and they will have a track out soon, so I'm not tripping. But Roach, Lil B, D-Lo, Stunna are not bubble gum rap. Akon, Shawty Lo and Gucci = Bubble Gum.
@allstarshort13 naw, hurricane is one the best young free stylers Ive heard. hes the only one i know that was hanging with all the veterans in that source awards cypher. i doubt those guys could touch him. besides e40 has already proven he can make big hits mainstream if he needs to. he always improves because he invents words, not because he puts people on. putting people on is showing them love is all. that's improvement for them. not him! he stays relevant
@mrhazel Breh, are you even from the Bay? Cause you aren't showing no love to any of these up and coming Bay Artists. I feel like you don't even know who they are. You can say Chris went hard on that cypher, but its irrelevant, cause he got publicity and did nothing with it. Just sorry as Bubble Gum Rap. Ay Bay Bay? Hand Clap? And I feel you are forgetting my original opinion cause I explained how exposing the young talent improves the Bay, not just 40. Relevant doesn't = DBz, Black C, Slim Thug
@allstarshort13 so you sayin limewire isn't up and coming at all? does it matter were I'm from? Ive heard of everyone you;re talkin about. i am west coast/northwest. i haven't forgot what you said but where i am correcting you is that you're saying that these guys will help out e 40 when it's the other way around. they are not helping e40 he's helping them and that's ok i guess.
@mrhazel First off its Livewire. Definitely not from the Bay. Second, they will. They have a larger following therefore bringing more attention to 40's album. Who follows Laroo, The DBz, Black C, Guce, Cousin Fik? I like some of the features: B-Legit, Too $hort, Matt Blaque (hooks), Turf Talk, Beeda Weeda. I would like to see him expand a bit more, tap into more talent/fan base, not use just the same guys on his tracks. In fact, I prefer the songs w/ just 40 over the ones with those artists.
@allstarshort13 well, typo on livewire. second, all those guys i like. its just that e40 fanbase is usually over 25 and lil b and those cats, well, most dudes my age wont listen to them for more than 3 tracks. but for the youngsters, yeah they're good.
@mrhazel I agree. That's why I recommend a feature. Not a collaboration CD. Just one verse as a feature. And you also prove my point... "e40 fanbase is usually over 25" I was throwing out a recommendation to change that. To expand. To grow. To get more money. To spread his talent. Its all love breh.
@LURKSS Why would you want recognition from tools who would only know who you are because you worked with a terrible rapper like drake? Thanks but no thanks if you've been rapping for over 20 years and these kids don't know who you are then fuck those ignorant fools.
@NOHHissue I find when people like Drake collaborate with someone like E40, it just proves how bad Drake is. Maybe that's why some of these older artists who have been around do it. I would. Invite them onto a track with you and then just rip it.
@40ozAndChronicDice At least NOHHissue, was making a civilized opinion. Your ass is ignant as a rock. "Killafornia West Coast G Shit" with Gucci Mane and Slim Thug? Come on breh. He got T-Pain on a track. He had Akon on a track when he released My Ball Street Journal. As well as Shawty Lo. Those were the 2 big singles. That aint Killafornia anything. That sounds like he is trying to... as you guys would define it "selling out." All I'm trying to say, is collaborate with more reputable sources.
@NOHHissue If they come to him an spit on an underground album then thatd be fine. Cus atleast it would of been him goin to them. An as long as they made sure the song they were on stayed off the radio. Also to throw in, u say him let him be himself well isnt that bein himself, decidin one day, "Hey I wanna make something with these two cats". I just don see how that couldnt be him being himself. I mean non of us are in his head, haha.
@rsfowlerjr1 He hasn't on an E-40 album, and definitely no one as terrible as Drake.
And regardless, why does it matter who he has done songs with? He could have 100 collab albums with Soulja Boy, doesn't mean I want to hear him on another song with soulja boy.
@allstarshort13 Keep the Bay outta that bullshit wack music. All the young ones bang that drake bullshit hipstermusic. Fk that shit. Bay area fo life.
It ain't about the money, 40 got bank, don't alienate the fans dummy and look like a sell-out. Like Spice 1 and Dre. Their new shit is whack, gotta get back into the studio and get down to the basics.
@ldrsquad@blaznbrooks More ignorant ass comments. If you look back to what the hyphy movement was about and mainly all of Bay Area hip hop, it was about getting recognition for the work they have been doing. Gaining national acknowledgement. You are never going to accomplish that with mentalities like that. "Fk that shit. Bay Area fo life." "Underground is where its at!!!" I understand being true to your roots, not selling out, but thats not what I'm saying at all. Read the whole opinion.
@allstarshort13 Bay Area has a style of music, same with West Coast Gangsta rap and G-Funk, same with East Coast's Jay-Z, M.O.P. and Wu-Tang. THe south got Devin the Dude, Scarface, Z-Ro, Trae, UGK. There are different styles. How many Bay Area Niggas get Airplay on their songs? Coughnut rarely got any air play. Rappin 4-Tay, hell nah. How will Bay area can support Bay artists when their radio plays Lil Wayne and Kanye shit? Stay true to the roots.
@allstarshort13 And I ain't finna to hear no Drake with E-40 or some strange bull like that. U heard Spice 1's latest songs with Autotune and shit? Thats Whack. Don't change ur style and don't add young artists that add some bullsh*T element to the music. Where San Quinn at? Where Agerman at? Where Dru Down and Celly Cel? Young peeps be changing music. All they wanna do now is make some stupid-ass hook and get bank. Just pure garbarge. That maybe just an opinion but it is what it is.
@ldrsquad I agree with that statement. New artists make weak shit, but if you gonna grab T-Pain, Akon, or Lil Jon to try and make a club banger or single, you might as well grab Brackins. At least he is from the Bay. And those guys you mentioned, are on the tracks. I'm not saying take them off. But mix in new artists as well. Roach Gigz is solid, he has style and actually spits. If you look at Too $hort's "I Love The Bay" Album, he put on tons of young talent on AS WELL as old talent.
@allstarshort13 im not calling yu out because i respect what your saying but rappers like drake jus dont have the sound e40 has he culd never rap about the thing e40 does because he doesnt kno what its like to grow up in the ghettos of vallejo wtbs e40 should put on more rappers from oakland, san francisco ect
@allstarshort13 none of his old fans would buy his shit if he sold out an did shit wit lil wayne or drake that shit would be wakc as fukc! keep it real 40
@weaktoast The West Coast never lost it,im from St Louis and we been playin and still playin all Cali & southern music since sryup sandwiches & kool aid. Much to to West Coast.
@Lacyfresh62 Of course theres tha classics that came out the west, and theres good music... but there aint new shit commin out every week and month like it was a few years ago! All tha forums that I use that were popin a few years ago are pretty much dead wit no new music. #JUSTSAYIN

40 already damn collaborated with wayne and every other fucking artist out there i dont see the problem
rsfowlerjr1 4 months ago

Their new shit is whack, gotta get back into the studio and get down to the basics.
ldrsquad 11 months ago
@ldrsquad @blaznbrooks More ignorant ass comments. Read the whole opinion.
allstarshort13 11 months ago
@allstarshort13 Bay Area has a style of music, same with West Coast Gangsta rap and G-Funk, same with East Coast's Jay-Z, M.O.P. and Wu-Tang. THe south got Devin the Dude, Scarface, Z-Ro, Trae, UGK. There are different styles. How many Bay Area Niggas get Airplay on their songs? Coughnut rarely got any air play. Rappin 4-Tay, hell nah. How will Bay area can support Bay artists when their radio plays Lil Wayne and Kanye shit? Stay true to the roots.
ldrsquad 11 months ago
@allstarshort13 And I ain't finna to hear no Drake with E-40 or some strange bull like that. U heard Spice 1's latest songs with Autotune and shit? Thats Whack. Don't change ur style and don't add young artists that add some bullsh*T element to the music. Where San Quinn at? Where Agerman at? Where Dru Down and Celly Cel? Young peeps be changing music. All they wanna do now is make some stupid-ass hook and get bank. Just pure garbarge. That maybe just an opinion but it is what it is.
ldrsquad 11 months ago
@ldrsquad I agree with that statement. New artists make weak shit, but if you gonna grab T-Pain, Akon, or Lil Jon to try and make a club banger or single, you might as well grab Brackins. At least he is from the Bay. And those guys you mentioned, are on the tracks. I'm not saying take them off. But mix in new artists as well. Roach Gigz is solid, he has style and actually spits. If you look at Too $hort's "I Love The Bay" Album, he put on tons of young talent on AS WELL as old talent.

@allstarshort13 E-40 doesnt wanna be big underground is where its at!!!
blaznbrooks 11 months ago
@allstarshort13 im not calling yu out because i respect what your saying but rappers like drake jus dont have the sound e40 has he culd never rap about the thing e40 does because he doesnt kno what its like to grow up in the ghettos of vallejo wtbs e40 should put on more rappers from oakland, san francisco ect
