  • I had an affair with Linda in the mid 70's. I was at a concert and she picked me out of the crowd, took me back to her hotel and had her way with me.

OK, I just made that up.

  • @phineas75 I think I saw you leave with her

  • Still one of her very best songs ever. LOVE IT. No one before here - or since - has belted out a song like she did, and made each one her own, cover tune or not.

  • One of the best songs she ever did, in my opinion..so much emotion!!

  • Linda Ronstadt's voice was a PHENOMENON! Such a NATURAL, Powerful gift she had - no one before or after has come close to her NATURAL ability. If she had wanted, she could've performed Opera. And YES she should be inducted into RNR Hall of Fame! Those a#%.h#les should be ashamed!

  • @nin12dog Well, she pretty much did that in The Pirates of Penzance, too!!! Google it-or maybe there are some clips on YouTube from it-a Gilbert and Sullivan musical she performed in around 1980-81. I saw it in Central Park (NY), and again on Broadway when it opened. Her range was truly impressive!! God, she was beautiful-inside and out!

  • LOOK HOW SASSY AND CONFIDENT SHE IS WHEN SHE STRIDES BACK ON STAGE...WHAT A GAL!!!

  • I love how, in her concerts, she let her singing do the entertaining... it was just her, a mic, a band, and very little talking. Her concerts were SO thrilling and electric because she sounded even better live than she did on her CD's.

  • Linda Ronstadt's voice is just SUPERB-----I don't even think any other Female vocalist is really better.....

  • Linda' voice is absolutely incredible. There is not a female singer today that can even come close to touching her. She was and is in a class by herself. There will never be another like her. Such an emotional and powerful singer. The woman has simply stolen my heart!

  • @cowboy80fan ===Plus she's beautiful too....

  • @giaisbomb Oh yes!! I can't forget that!! Linda was incredibly beautiful and very sexy!! It's so hard to believe she never married. If it were possible, I'd take a young Linda Ronstadt and marry her in a second. She was just the perfect woman in my opinion.

  • @cowboy80fan ---She's no good no more....I'd make her sing me to sleep every night and she would become my WIfE in NY now!!! LOL!!!!

  • @cowboy80fan she probably fell for the wrong men.

  • Hey Geo12955, I attended that same concert. at The Mann and specifically remember the guy jumping on stage; he grabbed her and kissed her and gave her flowers and ran off. She was really shaken by it, and did say that people shouldn't do that because it's scary. She was great that night.

  • Ich war damals dabei, gerade volljährig geworden! Was für ein Wahnsinnskonzert, und was für eine Wahnsinnssängerin. Linda, you are the best! Dass ich diese Aufnahme heute abend hier entdecke, ist einfach irre... Danke! Gruß an Andrea und Andrea, die dabei waren... :-))

  • "the heart calls, and the mind obeys" - the story of my life sung so beautifully by Linda

  • LINDA RONSTADT/Lose Again(Live)

    また、ひとりぼっちになっちゃった…。リンダ、魂のバラード。

  • I saw Linda the summer that this album came out at the Mann Music Center in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia. As soon as she began singing this song, which was her opening number, a young guy ran up on the stage, right at her and she screamed. After composing herself for a second, she continued on and finished the song. However, after the song was finished, she said something about not surprising a singer like that, and kind of laughed it off, but you could tell she got really nervous.

  • oh mein Gott! tausende Erinnerungen und ein Jahrhundertsong! Besten Dank für das Posten dieses all time Klassikers! Linda`s just greeeeaaaat!

    Major Tom

    KING SIZE, (Leadguitar)

  • Damn, as soon as she started singing, everyone shut up and was like, "holy shit!"

  • dusty better singing the song

  • As soon as I hear her sing "Save Me" I'm taken on a journey back to the best time of my life. Thank you, Linda.

  • I saw Linda 4 times in concert in the 70's/80's. She is a truly gifted singer. She usually sounds better live than her recordings, she'll hold the notes a little longer and seems to convey the emotion of the song even better live. I can't think of a current artist who could even come close. You can tell she started singing as a young child. t must have been a breeze recording her albums. Band learns song, Linda sings it, done. Next song. Wow.

  • @aeynub She was AMAZING in concert! What a Voice! The Real thing.

  • Didn't know much from Linda Ronstadt except her duet with Aaron Neville. (It's an age thing)

Came across this and I was blown away. What a voice!!!!

  • Excellent song. Her band was the best. The guitar solo by Dan Dugmore was the best.

  • This lady taught me how to sing.

  • @maggieclement AND ARE U STILL SINGING??

  • Eddie Van Halen taught me play guitar too..!

  • WOW. She could belt it out!! Excellent. Tks for posting.

  • Another amazing Karla Bonoff song. The way only Linda can sing it.

  • Warm venue Linda? He He .. wish I had been there. Wonderful music. We may never see a combination of singer and musicians in this genre to match again.> Superb

  • Found this cassette (Hasten Down The Wind) in the ditch by my house, in 1977. It was damaged. I was 9 yrs old. Took it home, took it apart, spliced it, scotch taped the casing back together, & rewound it to the beginning. This was the first song I heard. Loved it, I still have that tape & it still plays. Fate can be a good thing. :)

  • @knoxunflower1 that's a great story!!!

  • @knoxunflower1 cool story; my cousin gave me an 8-track (remember those!) of HDTW, also in 1977, and I have been a Linda fan ever since...I love YouTube!!!

  • @knoxunflower1 that is awesome... I fell in love with this woman when I was 6 years old... still love her. Now I am 40.

  • @knoxunflower1 wow ..!

  • @knoxunflower1 ---That Rules....

  • I listened to the album this song came from EVERY night to go to sleep for years after it came out. Love this song in particular.

  • Could have done Porn too.

  • Linda Ronstadt was one of the few singers who ALWAYS gave you goosebumps live. The voice was so huge and beautiful at the same time. The fact that she's not in the rocknroll hall of fame is nothing short of ridiculous.

  • Just wow.

  • Brings back amazing memories for me---that time, her songs. This one particularly. So glad to see a vintage performance

  • Damn *wipes eyes*.....what a powerful, moving performance!

  • I still remember going to her concerts in those days. She always opened with this song which was perfect, Half way through the performance both she and the audience would become fully energized. Thanks for this excellent post.

  • @nnsor She stopped opening with this song after the Simple Dreams tour. Remember one such performance at Radio City Music Hall, the timbre in her voice rang and rattled the sh*# out of that hallowed place. The audience were entranced and did not let go. Amazing.

  • This is an outstanding song. Brings back the high school crush I had on her! She is the best- thank you for posting this treasure, and giving me those memories.

  • Damn so MANY other guys had a crush on MY girl !!!!!!!!!! hahahaha Wow Linda Was and IS Loved by so many!!!!! Yes this does bring back LOTS of GREAT memorys !!!!!!

  • Wow! Thank you *SO* much for uploading all of these videos. You're an absolute star! x
