  • Any way to play it when u turn your GPS on? =D

  • @Gabrielvogel Sure there is one, since these machines are Windows-based systems. In fact when I moved around GPS forums, people got *any given thing* in their units, including spectacular menus at power on.

But my expertise does not go so far, sorry... In any case, I can give you the address of the forum where I got all I needed to hack my Supratech Actea:

    puntodeinteres.es/?zona=Foros&arch=ver_foro&fid=35

    Good luck! :-)

  • COOL!

  • I have a WinCE based nav unit with access to the explorer, but no way to play the GIF. What program did you use to play it?

  • Hummm, I don't remember (my old GPS passed away a couple of years ago), but you can enter download.com, go to the windows mobile (or win CE) section and search for image viewers for your system, making sure that the one you choose is capable to play animated GIFs.

  • You are a gentleman, a scholar, and a true BR fan. ONE OF US, ONE OF US, ONE OF USSSS.

Bu oh my god, I was just going to plead with you to get the video, and there it is, downloadable and rar'd. THANK YOU. Sometime down the road, I will have use for this.

  • @Feuyaer: Thank you, my friend! :-)

  • If you look at Ridley Scott's "Alien", the graphics in the spinner ascent are the same as the landing ship leaving the "Nostromo" early in the film. Maybe used as "stock" but to me, they connected the films in my head. Heck, that's the kind of earth that "Nostromo" is servicing anyways. A thought...

  • just discovered that the red PURGE Screen was used also on the ALIEN Movie... at the end of the ship escape.

  • nice job XD

  • Great job! I'm glad to see people on here that are as fascinated with this film as I am! Again...excellent job!

  • Thank you, man!

  • Absolutely great!! Thank you for posting and sharing this!

  • That is so eff'n awesome!

  • Where are the flying cars all these science fiction films have promised us in the past, damnit!

    :-(

  • You have made me ver happy.

    Great job! :-D

  • You fucking nerd. I am completely wrapped in jealousy I want you to know this.

  • Sweet

  • how can I generate the purge tone audio. it sounds great and would sound the biz to replace my lights on warning buzzer in my car

  • i'm having trouble downloading the graphic, when i click on the link it just gives me a page full of encrypted code.

  • Hummm, I've just test the download link and it works perfectly. Something's wrong in your computer (config issues?). I suggest you to download it from another computer.

    Thank you!

  • WELL DONE!!

  • This is the greatest F-ing thing ever, for BR nerds. This is the new screensaver on my phone and my laptop. Rock rock on, my man.

And thanks for uploading it for free! A champion of the people, you are.

  • Thanks you man! :)

  • Well done, keep at it.

  • I have a challange for you sir, Try and make the nostromo Landing scene screens from the film 'ALIEN.

  • Oh YESSSS, those fantastic graphics impressed me yet the very first time I saw 'A L I E N' in a theater back in 1979 (when I was very very young). In fact it's one of my fav visual details of the movie.

But it implies very hard work of 3D CGI... Maybe some day... :-)

  • I have faith in you.

your right, it is a fantasic sequence of wireframe CG and Model shots,

My Goal in Life is to become a director of film.

ALIEN and BLADE RUNNER are two of my favorite films putting Sir Ridley Scott up to my favorite Director.

he did both the spinner take off and nostromo landing like a pro.

even if you see the models support strut on the left side of the screan. :p

  • I was talking bout the computer graphics on the landing monitor of the ship, but yes, I like EVERITHING in 'A L I E N', including models and visuals...

BTW a decade ago (or so) I reproduced the red screen of the Nostromo with itsname and serial for using as wallpaper. Also I isolated some Mother sounds as Windows event sounds. I even remember to have done a reproduction of the warning and instructions sticker at the fusion controls of the Nostromo, to apply on my student folder... :-)

  • Hi there, good stuff.

What software did you use to render this? Is it possible to do it in Flash? I'm struggling to learn the package right now. How you were you when you saw Alien, as it was an R in the US and an X certificate in the UK?

  • nice

  • Excellent!

    I want that too !!
