  • @NickGimacutU Glad you enjoy it, the reason we named it 5cm Per Second is because our guitarist got the inspiration to write the song after watching it. The lyrics are based on the story as well. Each to their own I guess :)

  • Why did you name this song after a super peaceful and beautiful anime??????? Doesn't really fit at all! Its dease djent but horrible name.

  • The beautiful cleans are fucking beautiful. no, that wasn't redundant.

  • a bit confused on how this has anything to do with the movie. cool stuff anyways

  • @kiwimcoffee Same here......

  • @dushebag

I'm going to prejudge you by your name, but djent is also achieved by the specific sound generated with high mids, compression, and a noise gate. You can't have djent without this tone, and since it's pretty damn unique, the "genre" has been coined Djent. I think it makes sense.

  • Lol djent is a serious genre now? Huh. I'm just going to call this Entrosolet since they made this song and continue to enjoy it while smashing every object in my basement. Fuck that whole labels thing. GENRES EVERYWHERE.

  • I F***IN LOVE THIS SONG, just wanna say thanks guys

  • @TeufelFaust I Am A Walking Corpse is the lyric haha

  • this mother fuckin song is fuckin solid. GOD DAMIT

  • No people are just sick of people classifying it as its own seperate genre when its clearly all metal. It all has guitars. It all has drums sometimes a vocalist sometimes a bassist just because it uses different riffs doesent mean its a different genre.

  • You guys are sooo stupid. This isn't DJENT this is a song, its made with sounds. And DJENT isn't a genre its a word. and thats just stupid cuz we all know that words are made with letters, and letters are sent in the mail. I think we all know what im getting at here

  • @visionarysearch so what you just said means nothing =)

  • @AntiTrollable ill impregnate your mother and make your sister rape your brother ;)

  • @visionarysearch Believe me.No one knows.Not even you.

  • "They say it's 5 centimeters per second... The speed of falling cherry blossom petals."

  • Great stuff, was thinking of how well vocals would fit this song before they kicked in.

  • why do people keep comparing djent and 2-step. 1st off djent is a tone, not a genre. secondly, though i agree in some cases that bands using the djent tone sound like recycled 2-step, in most cases its way beyond. 2-step is music inspired by the "dance" which makes it very uniform and predictable. Most djent bands tend to focus more on compositional value.

  • @roachfactory so sick of this djent is not a genre shit. why can't we just say it's both? seriously...does it really matter what kind of music it is. it's just good music and fun to listen too. It's like the metal community is almost as divided as the republican party right now. fuck.

  • @shiftdrummer1991 HAHAHAHAHA

  • @MapALife lol i was the only one saying it sounds somewhat like 2-step lol SOMEWHAT, people forget i say e_e

  • @shiftdrummer1991 real shit

  • @roachfactory exactly djent is a tone not a genre wtf did people hear that it was you know. thats pissing me off

  • @dushebag it definitely is. it's growing. you could make the argument that any sub-genre of metal isn't "metal." But djent can't be ignored, and this is by definition of what djent artists are playing, djent. And personally, i think this is the best type of metal there is. With it's innovative utilization of rhythms and timings, melodic guitar mixed with heavy guitar, and tasteful mid screams and sometimes clean vocals.

  • @metalguitarist77

    I love you

  • 0:50 - 0:54 - I AM A WOOKIE!

  • @TeufelFaust HAHA you bastard, you stole my comment XD

  • @TeufelFaust

    A WOOKIE... corpse. :P

  • cheers for all the positive feedback!the lyrics for this were recorded about five hours after being written and we had never praciced this way before.the rest of the album will be coming soon.there is alot more in the final cut of this song than this demo version.once again cheers for all the support and feedback!

    blair - clean entrosolet vocalist.

  • I am a walking klutz? 0:51 - 0:57 lol waah??

  • Comment removed

  • the clean vocals are really good for the first rhythm verse. sounds like it was fun making it.

  • @hobbyhorsehandmedown NOT Meshuggah -_- or Vildhjarta or any of those that these dudes are givin u, Just Entrosolent and Circle Of Contempt are the only REAL Djent bands, all the rest need to get their shit together and stop being so goofy with their instruments, theres a fine line between cool and goofy .

  • @fuckbees666 lol. troll harder. Meshuggah has been doin djent since the 90s. Periphery came along with a defibrillator and brought the sound back.

  • @emann43 no they havent lol, dont try and make it sound like djent has been around for a long time because it hasnt, djents just the new and improved long lost 2-step, all they did was add more sound effects

  • @fuckbees666 get real lol. Go back and listen to the 'chug chug chug' sound of old meshuggah. Its been around for ages! On the other hand, yes, you're right it is a new and improved sound.

  • @emann43 it sounds like the new and improved 2-step genre, like they just upgraded with double bass and some other sounds i wouldnt know what to call lol

  • @emann43 actually since the 80's i believe :P

  • ????? This is real or is a cover

  • @RogrA15 it''s Entrosolet's song, so i guess you can say it's real lol

  • @maliceheart18 haha, thanks for the response. I like the old voice entrosolet :)

  • @hobbyhorsehandmedown Circle of Contempt for sure too! :) and the rest below me.

  • @hobbyhorsehandmedown VOLUMES!!! Favorite band atm. Also definitley check out Elitist, After the Burial, Animals as Leaders, Black Atom Reign apart from what the other guy has already mentioned! \m/!!!

  • @sipinflames dont forget Struc/Tures bro lol

  • @hobbyhorsehandmedown Meshuggah, Vildhjarta, Monuments, SikTh, Tesseract, Substructure, The Contontortionist, Periphery, Bulb. And a shit load more

  • 5cm per second is a goddamn sad movie, this song fits it perfectly.

  • 0:52 I sware to god he said "I AM A WOOKIE!" lmao

  • @UntilDeath333 I AM A WOOKIE... WOOF!

  • Entrosolet - Vocals = Better I kinda like the clean singing though

  • I.Broke.my.space.bar.head.banging.sorry.

  • This vocalist is awesome, I don't know what you little 10 year olds kids are talking about. He's fucking brutal, the way metal should be. Not like that pussy metalcore screams that 90% of Djent bands do, since they all try to copy that little girl that "screams" for Periphery.

  • Comment removed

  • @shinderhizzle84 Sure thats why it needed overlapping vocals that sound like an 10 year old kid muffling his voice..... Spencer destroys all metal vocalists he does way better than this for sure

  • @TheTyrynir Actually about 80% of the screaming is just one track :)

  • @shinderhizzle84

Spencer ( "that little girl that 'screams' for Periphery" ) sounds a lot better live. I admit, he doesn't sound the best on the album but he's not that bad. So go fuck yourself.

  • @mrcusmc

I just think all metalcore-styled screaming is for pussies who can't handle the brutal-ness of real death metal. He sounds no different to me than the screaming in every single lame generic ass metalcore, christian core, emo core, -core band out there, and it just sounds so lame. Real screaming should sound like the voice of fucking Death or Satan blasting in your eardrums until it's so fucking brutal and heavy that you want to claw the inside of your ears out with your own nails.

  • @shinderhizzle84

Well that's your opinion. Like you said, it's a different style...not everyone like one style of vocals. I like a change in vocal styles. I like listening to bands that only growl, bands that only scream, bands that sing, and mostly bands that have a vocalist that can do all three. Being able to growl like a beast, scream like a banshee, and sing like a god only shows how much talent they actually have.

  • @mrcusmc

You're misunderstanding me though. I'm fine with clean singing, but Spencer is just a terrible metal vocalist. His screams are pathetically weak and his singing sounds like it belongs more in The Backstreet Boys than it does in metal. If you want an example of an ACTUALLY good vocalist who can ACTUALLY scream and sings, look up Solution .45.

And yeah of course it's an opinion, but people were bashing this guy's vocals and I think they're awesomely brutal. So I said something :P

  • @shinderhizzle84

What do you think I am, new? Christian Alvestam is pretty much my favorite vocalist, and Solution .45 one of my favorite new bands. He was what made Scar Symmetry good. They kind of suck, in my opinion, with out him. They had to get two vocalists to replace him because he is so awesome. But like I said, Spencer's vocals on the album are weak compared to his live performance. I can only guess that he will be much better on the next album. Backstreet Boy though? That's harsh.

  • too goddamn sic

  • too goddamn sic

  • I have a massive 2incher!

  • @FuzzyHatchet thats interesting :DDD

  • That riff is absolutely fucking SICK, but the screaming vocals fucking SUCK. People who think Spencer Sotelo is bad (which he's not), listen to this guy for God's sake.

  • @YouTubricant what the fuck? craig sinkins is amazing and so is blair D:<

  • @YouTubricant It's typical deathcore vocals. Lows and highs dubbed together and the cleans are rather nice.

  • y cant ppl just listen to music with out starting a huge comment war on every fucking video i watch its just a bunch of jobless clowns trying to show how much they knw about music ...WHO GIVES A FUCK

  • Uhhh what happened to the old version?? I like the vox way better : (

  • Light In May riff. Hahah.

  • djent.................IS. NOT. A GENRE

  • @Moxxiekanato It is everything

  • @TheTyrynir no, djent is a stacked power chord that is palm muted. that doesn't make a genre, mainly cause most bands that call themselves djent don't even use that stacked, palm muted power chord.

  • @Moxxiekanato neither did mushuggah, it has become a genre, it may have started out as sound now its a genre, and it doesnt have to be a chord.

  • @TheTyrynir actually meshuggah did, the opening riff to obzen, soul bleed, loads of them. periphery use the chord in buttersnips, light, racecar, jetpacks was yes, loads of their songs too.

  • @Moxxiekanato At this point, djent describes more than the sound of a palm muted stacked power chord. If you listen to a band labeled as "djent" you can expect to hear a progressive/technical based genre of music heavily influenced by death metal and metalcore.

  • @JOBoarder27 not really, djent is what it is and its an onomatopeia, you can't change that. it doesn't describe a sound, bands are influenced by bands that use that powerchord and then because they use the word, they think its a genre. whats annoying is most of the people who have turned "djent" into a genre are fucking idiots. i won't let what happened to deathcore being started by good bands like job for a cowboy happen to progressive metal, the true genre of bands you call "djent"

  • @Moxxiekanato you call this prog? anyways theirs more to be taken in consideration than the guitar, the drums are written in polyrhythms with an emphasis on the snare having a 4/4 timing and the bass drum matching the guitar.

  • @sonotahippie how is it not prog? its emphasized metal that before people started calling djent a genre couldn't really be classed as anything else like metalcore or death metal :P its very heavy and melodic; prog. so what do drums have to do with djent? nothing it is just the guitar. the fact the drums are written in odd signatures just means it's techinical :P

  • @Moxxiekanato prog=a subgenre of metal = djent=a subgenre of prog. and time signatures can have everything to do with its genre. one of the original defining points of rock was the fact that its written in 4/4 where swing is always written in 3/3 time signatures have a ton to do with it.

  • @sonotahippie like i said, djent is only to do with guitar, not a genre. okay why don't we say we just disagree? but i still say djent is definetly not a genre, hell even misha feels this way, kinda fucking funnny huh?

  • @Moxxiekanato HAHA K, Derp

  • Comment removed

  • @Moxxiekanato Notice that everyone on this page disagrees with you. Enough said.

  • @JOBoarder27 not really. all it says is i have a different opinion jack ass.

  • @sonotahippie Swing is never written in 3/3. In fact, it would be hard to find a song that is.

  • @JDhomieG sorry i meant to say 3/4 (it also has variants of that though being 6/8 and 9/8)

  • @Moxxiekanato ADMIT DEFEAT

  • @Moxxiekanato Monuments joke was fail..

  • @IAmThunderMusic nah don't worry i did laugh, i just won't give in though :P
