Ganz billig war die Sache nicht, Kit + restliche Hardware lag so bei 1.700 Euro.

Dafür, was sich damit anstellen lässt, aber immer noch ein Schnäppchen, sollte man auch ausgeben, wenn man was halbwegs Anständiges will, das was aushält und einen länger zufrieden stellt.

Würde Dir aber insgesamt eher zu nem Roland- oder Alesis-Set mit Meshheads raten.

Mein Yamaha mit Gummipads ist SEHR laut beim Spielen, kaum leiser eigentlich als ein akustisches Set. Reingehauen!

The kit is a Yamaha DTXpress IV Special, virtual instrument is EZDrummer.

Yeah, hihat and cymbals in general are still a big bother when it comes to e-drumkits.

But don't let that stop you from getting/playing one altogether!

They really do have their advantages, for practicing as well as recording...

And they are definitely better than having no drum kit at all!

0:44 whoah. How do you choke that ezdrummer with dtxpress IV? I thought this was almost impossible. Nice drumming BTW

@ransisua Thx! And you're right, I haven't found a way to choke my cymbals either, at least while playing. It's one of two things I have to do by editing. The other thing is that ezdrummer/Cubase mixes up closed Hihat, open Hihat and pedal Hihat. And it does so totally arbitrarily...

After several research, I've found that there is almost zero possibility to choke it with ezdrummer since dtxpress module (any dtxpress) doesn't send "polyphonic aftertouch" nor "note on" midi command. It only sends "note off". Superior drummer supports "note off" but some people find it too much trouble with it and doesn't work well either.So, some recommend to assign choke note on the bell trigger of first crash. lol

@ransisua Yeah, I guess you just have to be creative. To me it's not a big problem because for live gigs or studio recording I'd use "real" cymbals anyway.
