  • I would daily drive this noisy bitch at 5am every morning in my neighborhood!!!!

  • That must be the truck that almost blew up, looks like it runs good now. Awsome driving.

  • awesome <3

what's that second shifter good for? i dont know anything about truck transmissions :P

  • what is the shift pattern on that thing one stick for the front box the other for the rear box ??

  • All that shifting and still only 5 mph.

  • @theonly9 Speedo shows 5 mph but it sounds like a 100. He kept her on the pipe nicely.

  • really good shifting, very impressive

  • Impressive! I've never seen two gear shifts on a truck before.

  • just keep it between 2100rpm and gov. and she stay steady screamin

  • @EvilZuber classic............. .cmon

  • floating gears like a boss

  • WFO!!!!

  • Only way to drive, Floating those gears, I never used the clutch only taking off.

  • but defently have a joey or aux box may be an rto915 gbox

  • that is too cool i love the sound as you take off even with the joey gearbox. if i had the money i'd buy 1976 c30 chev piss the peterol motor off and the detoit 453t in its place withtwin 4 inch stacks i dont know about putin a jakes on the motor or maybe have them to piss off the cops as i go bye ..i love the take off is the best it gives me goose bumps as hear it. good one mr buckbz

  • what are the gear boxes?Trying to figure out what I wanna bolt to my 4-53 I'm droping in my F350.

  • That is awesome! I wonder what 6-53 would be like? Been wanting to put a 4-53 in a 3/4 ton Chevy. But would like to have the Allison 1000 behind it.

  • music

  • Who needs a Tach when your motor sounds like that

  • reminds me of how we shift gears here in Jamaica. Nice driving

  • id give you my 101K mile, 2001 cummins for that beast.

  • that guy can shift !!

  • These thing, sounds fucking, beautiful.

  • Eye spy a Bottle of Chevron Delo on the floor! Good oil! We run it our fleet!!

  • You have to be doIng at least 300 after that lol

  • its sounds like your going 400 mph lol

  • ART!

  • Dude I love all of your vids but it'd be really cool if you told us more about the trucks, like what transmissions you're running and how they're hooked up, I know only one thing about this and that is THIS IS AWESOME!

  • The switch is an engine brake that's what the sound is and you shift 3 time with the left one before shifting the right one now you just have a switch on the one alot easier but doesn't look as cool

  • Not a big truck guy--what is the dash switch for?

  • @lakeboy54 jake brake

  • wish I knew what the heck all that was. I want to go back and count how many shifts that was.

  • And the speedometer doesnt even work, shes a classic,

  • is that a 2 stroke diesel? sounds bad ass!

  • well driven, incredible!!

  • LIKE A BOSS!!

  • fucking beautiful

  • just a idea what about a hi beam switch on the floor for a jake switch? give you the free shifting hand

  • gee whizz... you're certainly not scared of that, are you? Well driven mate..

  • You made nicer shifts when you DIDN'T use the Jake Brake. The little detroits are snappy enough that you don't need the Jake.

Good job however. What model is the Diamond T?

  • Theres no way I could steal this motor, I wouldn't have a clue how to drive it after watching all those complex looking gear changes...LOL

Greetings from England :-) Great video!

  • the spadomider only says 5...hahaha

  • this is insane

  • just curious but how do you know which gear is in which position in which box? haha the biggest tranny ive driven on is a 04 6speed cummins.

  • @act440 once you know the all the combinations for each gear, it just becomes second nature

  • @UncleBubbles94 i mean if i knew all the patters id have no problem, but it looks like an absolute fucking blast to drive!

  • try a 5x4x3 we had them in bed trucks in the oilfield with 3408 cats and e9-500 mack no synckros in any of the boxes

  • Yeah yeah yeah JAKE BRAKE all day!

  • Detroit Diesel is music to my ears, how does a twin-stick work? Never driven one before

  • @MrBowtie95 I don't know much about Detroit Diesels but this is similar to the Mack quad-box tranny. I think it's a 20 speed. You start at 1st, shift through the 3 gears on the aux stick, then change to 2nd gear and do the same. On a regular twin stick (like the ones in my vids) it's a 9-speed (5-4 really) which is basically the same thing except with only 2 speeds on the aux stick as opposed to 3 on this truck.

  • What is that switch close to the RPM meter?

  • @FacaDoc Jake brake

  • COOL!

  • i want to build one of these old detroit rats so fucking bad , used to be cement factory behind my house old macks jaked passed every morning . ive been hooked on old diesel truckes ever since

  • god dern, that ole things sounds awesome!!

  • is it just straight piped what can you find these motors in id love to put one in my 68 chevy

  • Soo the one on the right is three gears? which would be the main trans, right? and then the one on the left has three gears aswell, but is the rear end? Haha, sorry if i'm completely wrong. Love the truck though!!

  • all those gears and the speedometer said it never got over 5 mph... :)

Fantastic video. The sound of that Screamin' Jimmy is amazing. Lots of high-horsepower race cars wish they sounded that badass.

  • Hey Buck can you make a new video of the RT-6610? Love to hear how it sounds. Cheers

  • MMMmmmnnn i know what engine im using for my bmw 325xi swap LOL

  • strange shift pattern on those things

  • Nothing like the sound of a good running Detroit!

  • Jesus, that looks like a lot of work! I've never driven a manual car, just tractors. I'm 15, looking for a stick diesel pickup, and eventually a nice big rig. Ain't gonna use the big rig for anything, but why not just buy one for a daily driver?

  • Those old truckers were tough men indeed. I've got plenty of respect

  • What is the stwich you flip on the dash next to the tach?

  • @hyde20082142 I think it was the exhaust brake or jake brakes but don't hold me to it

  • nice truck!!! love it more moives please

  • the old slut sounds fucking awesome music to my ears

  • @dunkie007 AHHHH!!!! EAR RAPE! To perfection.

  • This isn't the same motor from your '50 GMC, is it? Funny how these little 4-53's sound like they're turning 7 grand, when they're actually only turning 23 - 2500 rpm's. :))

  • What's the switch next to the tach for?

  • @stonent thats a jake brake that loud sound after he lets of the gas and flips the switch is a jake brake (exhuast brake) which slows the truck with out useing the brake

  • @stonent jake brake aka engine exhaust brake

  • what rmps dose this go to

  • all that and you didnt even get one 5 mph

    lol speedo must not work

  • :D omg :D

  • Awesome rig, how hard was it to find a brownie box?

  • Cool as hell! Love the dash.

  • Definatly a Detroit. All that work and you only made it to 5mph.

  • Nice!!!1

  • Need earplugs! lol

  • Buck....how bout a picture of the ol' 48?

  • Not too high RPM?

  • @vapno92 the engine is a 2 stroke hes probobly only turning about 22-2300 rpm but it sounds like 48-5100 rpm

  • @jamesakaduke But it sounds very awesome! Was the truck originally equiped with this engine? Is it turbodiesel engine?

  • awesome!

  • My uncle lives near you, and he said he can hear your trucks for miles. I am building a 64 international c1300 and am considering a 453t. How does the 453t pull unloaded? I have never driven a truck with a 453t, only a forklift. thx

  • Buckbz you are my favorite

  • The main box is synchronized that's why I clutch. You can down shift it with out though. The aux is not, so you do not need to clutch. I don't normally Jake shift or shift so fast I guess I was a little excited lol.

  • I have driven 5&4aux-4x4air+ roadrangers---but have not seen your app,is the toggle for a 2 speed===also is that a 409---or a 209----alway a Diamond T fan-owned 209-409 643=and drive several Diamond reo----good vid

  • Is this the same guy who has the old GMC wth the 453t ? V.

  • can you explain to me why you dont need the clutch for the shifter on the right and whats the switch you keep flicking up and down on the dash..this is so cool though i apprecaite the old trucks

  • @86LiftedK10 === Some transmissions are easy to shift without the clutch, you can feel when it's ready to drop into the gear. With practice you know how much RPM to drop between the gears with out raking the gears. When you are going up thru the gears you let off the gas a little to go to neutral then let the engine slow down to match the RPM of the next gear. At about 2:09 he has let off the gas and the jake is working and he flips the switch and the noise from the jake stops.

  • @oshpunit987 ohhhh alright thank you..im just getting into these trucks and wanted to know whats going on lol thanks again

  • got tired looking at you shifting gears. wow i need a drink.

  • Nice Buck.:)

  • Driven like a BOSS.

  • I have spent WAY to much time working on Muscle Cars!!! Your Truck is AWSOME! What is the shifter on the left for ? ( yes. I'm an Idiot ) V.

  • @vaccumme I belive the right one is the Low Direct and High "selector", while the left one is the main gearbox with Reverse 1, 2 and 3 (mybe 4, not sure). There are are some "twin stick shifting" vids here on youtube if you want more. :D

  • dude your awesome! Ill stick to my garden tractors for now. ill go broke building trucks

  • Words do not describe how much I want. Music to my ears. Nice driving!
