Before that in the battle of Courtrai in 1302 the Flemish sloughtered the French. Even killing the French knights who lay down and could not move by cuting their throat.

Since I've moved to Germany to get married and find a 'better life' I've discovered that even those who go to the church every day are some of the nastiest people with so much darkness in their hearts. Not only do they not act in the manner of which God expects of them, but they make poor vessels to spread the faith to non-Christians. From my experience, my life as an American was full of more love, peace and Godliness.

He needed all the manpower to defend his own country. The Germans would have won against Britain if it weren't for Churchill's determination not to sign a peace treaty or other accord of surrender.

The German Navy was decimated by the Norwegian Campaign, which is why they couldn't invade Britain like they planned.

(or more likely without) Britain's help. In which case, all of Germany would have turned Commmunist, and probably France too...Without American aid. Britain could only defend themselves, and that barely.

@burtoncaly The reason Germany almost conquered Britain is this: after the Germany Navy was weakened by the Norwegian Campaign, leaders figured they could and would invade Britain with a weak German Navy only if Britain's air superiority were quashed. German planes and pilots were much more numerous than Britain's, yet the British miraculously handled their onslaught in a decisive battle over British skies. Thus their air superiority was kept intact, and Germany decided against invasion.

@jaelob we had the Great Depression taht was plaguing America at the time and Roosvelt was more worried about the Great Depression but at the same time we were involed in WWII at taht time it was called the Land Lease Act that we lended England old warships and supplies to help defend itself but we were directly not fighting this war. Also if we had not allowed japan to Attack us First tehn we would not have had a huge support for our involvement in Europe and the Pacific Theater
