  • Dude, you are a life saver. This video has really helped me, i am still an undergrad, but it makes so much more sense, the diagram can be a little chaotic and scary. Thanx

  • Thank you Andrew. Much appreciated. Feel free to share anymore videos.

  • I thought that Acitvated Protein C (APC) activated Protein S, not the other way around, which you have depicted here. Also, the complex of APC+Protein S work to degrade Factor V and VIII, not protein C alone, which you have also depicted.

  • @mrslabrat24 S acts as a co-factor for C which cleaves Va and VIIIa.

  • HEEEEY BROOOO NICE WORK!!! THANKS!!

  • very good my friend, U must start looking for a job as a teacher, you have the skills

  • You have no idea how much you have helped me, by making thins video. thank you soo much

  • degrEdation? (with "E"?) Lol, seriously.. To me (a non-native English speaker), this is quite a major spelling error!.... Yes, I know, I know, I know: correct spelling is not the point of this video. But I was a med student like you before, so I think I have the right to advise you: Write Correctly! As a Dr, you will write pt's medical history, referrals, fill forms etc one day...... On the plus side, your video's worth 5 stars !!! :) Your method makes everything look so simple.Cheers! :)

  • this just goes on tho prove that the best way to learn something is by teaching

  • What about Von Willebrand Factor?

  • @demurorf Hey there. As far as I know von Willebrand factor is not involved in these steps except as a carrier for Factor VIII (so a deficiency in vWF causes a deficiency in Factor 8, and results in an increased PTT). von Willebrand factor is also important for platelet adhesion and affect bleeding time, but these are outside the scope of my videos.

  • @abolsen Thanks man. That's exactly the way I have it.

  • @demurorf Von Willebrand factor involves in Primary Hemostasis which is activation of the platelets in order act like a bridge between glycoprotein on platelets and collagen.

  • thank you for doing this... coagulation cascade is much easier now! -med student from phils.

  • Fantastic! Thank you so very much for the clarification. - A Cali pharm student
