  • is this the demo of boss gt10 or of rob marcello ? :D

  • WHY THE HELL ALL THE GOOD AND FAMOUS GUITAR PLAYERS HAVE SUCH FUCKING COOL NAMES?!

  • the chromatic lick when you push 5.... damn

  • Some one can help to get that tone on GT 10? Maybe someone that can nail that electronic stuff and show how really it worths it

  • Rob's like Phoebe from Friends.. Rock version!!! ha aha ha ha !

  • u r so good, god bess

  • I can't see any fingerprints on his guitar. How can this be !!!!

  • lol, this guy is G

  • multieffects are as good as stompboxes, you just have to fiddle alot with the settings

  • pure satriani RIP-OFF.but awesome

  • wow looks like octa pad

  • Sounds very digital

  • sounds like joe satriani

  • Rob Marcello is incredible...

  • @chocoslash ooh yeah! :) haha lml

  • Robert marcello is so underrated

listen to his song called "old school"

  • Robert Marcello should give awesomeness lessons!!! YEAAAAHHHH METAAAAAAALLLLL!!!!

    ROBERT 4 PRESIDENT!!!

  • I wish there was a guitar tab for this. I might try learning the chords anyway, there's something about the main riff which just makes it so awesome

  • Man, this guy is a wizard. I just purchased the GT-10 and have to say, it's a fine piece of gear for sure. You just have to get into deep editing on it to get the tones you're looking for. The more time you spend on it the better. The only thing that would have been better for editing the GT10 is Boss putting out a PC based editing software. It would be much easier to do deep editing. Come on Boss make some software to edit this unit on a PC! At $500 for GT-10 it should have editing software.

  • @Bulletman426 There is actually editing software its not made by boss but it works beautifully!

  • what a knob

  • @TheSteadyrollinman Yes you are.

  • Skwisgaar Skwigelf!

  • thats what i call a real jam ajaja

  • i think it is the right time to do something with your hairs! otherwise you are a fantastic player!

  • @xenofous Naw man, the hair is his Trademark

  • This piece of gear would make a most worthy upgrade from my current digitech RP21d & nicely compliment my just recently ordered (and still not shipped) Roland GR-55. Oh yea.... pure excellence comin my way.

  • hell yes!! I do like it

  • everything is perfect here except

    1. not sure why charvel and not ibanez

    2. another damn neo classical track that doesn't quite manage to help but does give ideas.

If I give out any more information than that I'll have to kill you lol

  • @azkeyz ...okey...

    1. its not charvel, its Suhr, He uses guitars such as Caparison, Suhr(<- both are VERY expensive, and just as good/way better than ibanez), and Ibanez.

    2. Rob does play alot of neoclassical, unfortunately it can't be heard in this video, this is mainly 80's pop/heavy metal with some tastful shredding on top of it, and theres barely any neoclassical licks, sweeps, arpeggios or scales, for that matter. : )

  • I don't get it, how come when he play it all seem to sound almoste the same, from the me-20, me-25, me-70 to the gt serie including this gt-10...hmmm there must be some mixing in studio somehow...anyway, his a great guitar player...thumb's up!

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah man, Rob is very under-rated...he's much much better than many "recognized" guitarist out there. This guy's one of my favorite guitarist. I'd love to learn some of his techniques. Rock on!!!

  • veramente eccezionale!!! la parte in pulito stupenda poi!!!!!!!!!!!!! great effect and great the guitar

  • i have the gt10 and that tone is IMPOSSIBLE to obtain. he must be using other pedals or one hell of an advanced amp

  • @DavidL1432 Hey bro...I have the GT-10 too. All this are done through the GT-10's sound engine. In fact, you can even get it to sound way better than what he is demonstrating. Anyhow, good luck, man.

  • @VegasGuitarPlayer Ive been screwin with the every aspect of that machine for a year and a half. im saving up for the fractal audio axe fx ultra.

  • @DavidL1432 really I wonder what hes using cause that tone is killer

  • He should have his own signature guitar!! Comon guitar companies get on this!

  • @0Religion He does. He uses Suhr Guitars.

  • @kibijit Cool.

  • Hi everyone! Can you tell me what is the effect at minute 4:28 ?? please!... ;)

  • @zauberersteve its a lot of shorts delays

  • ROCK the heck ON!

  • can this go straight into ur computer for recording?

  • @BledsoeBluvd yes, through USB

  • @BledsoeBluvd IN ANY IMAGINABLE WAY! you can put it straight to ur amp and mic it, you can conect it via usb, you can conect it to a mixer and then to the cpu, you can conect from the earphones output to ur pc's or Mac mic input, you can conect the L/R outputs and mix them... tons of posibilities

  • HAIRBRUSH.... NOW!!

  • Woah, that guitarist is pretty badass. Excellent timing.

  • How much does this thing cost????

  • @jmk2990 £300

  • @jt93guitar !!!!!!!

  • @jmk2990 between the 400's-500's I paid $550 when it came out! And I'm so proud I did XD

  • This guy is a guitar god for sure.

  • @Hertsman50 The people from the "crowd" there, were being mindraped with epicness.

  • what guitar is he using?

  • @jmdb1994 His Suhr custom model... but expect to pay a lot for any Suhr -___-

  • @jmdb1994

    suhr, google it

  • The lick at 2:45 is wicked!

  • That at 2:46 is wicked

  • dude but he's now whit roLan doesn't he?

cuz he is making promo for the roland's VG99? or I'm mistaken?

  • I love his style

  • anyone here got his delay patches? send me the link please... thanks...

  • His middle finger sticks up like a chop stick (around 2:04)... gosh those fingers are monstrously long.

  • how much is gt 10

  • @wisd0m18 around $500!

  • this jam was pretty sweet :P

  • wicked!! does anybody knows if he is related to the great swedish axeslinger, Kee Marcello?

he has a sort of similarities with Kee

  • HAHAHAHAH KEE FROM EUROPE, IS THIS THE BROTHER? HAHAH.DOD BLESS YOU

  • GOD bless you

  • sound like japaness sea-doo nintendo 64 game

  • Blimey! I thought I was begining to make progress on my guitar. After watching this guy I may as well give up!! I know it's all relative but he can play ANYTHING!

Yours worryingly, a slighty more depressed guitarist ! ;-)

  • I'm just overly mindblown on how gorgeous this tune is... Starting at 1:42

  • al satch ese que le den en todo caso al reves del los mediocres satch y vai.

  • 15 persons dont like 80's

  • He is awesome!!! I love his song "Old School".

  • 良いなァGT-10。

    俺も今度買おう

  • stunning and much under rated guitarist, some of the song he plays has a slight satch feel to it cracking song.

  • name of theme??

  • 80's metal fucking rocks dude!

  • @P0WERBALLAD what is the name of theme?

  • @Papinuer hair metal

  • CAN SOMEONE ANSWER ME WHAT IS THE NAME OF THIS MUSIC?

  • @SashaStankievicz what is the name of theme?

  • i talked to him for a while today at a music shop now i know why he seemed offended when i mentioned the pod xt lolol

  • Rob is really a versitile and much undernoticed guitarist. I was just rapping with him at a guitar show last weekend. He's the most unassuming guy to meet in person. I played a little at his demo, and despite the fact I can't play worth shit, he showed me the greatest respect.

  • It's got a Carpe Diem vibe :D

  • Rob is awesome, too bad most he do is for selling goddamn products :(

  • I know if I can mimic sounds of other instruments in the gt-10,

    piano, strings, sax ...

  • this has loop too like in me70

  • muy bueno.

lastima que no supe cuando vino a colombia

  • hes so cool:)

  • can you put this into an amp or does it have to go to a computer, this is probably a stupid question but i have absolutely no idea

  • @eoin1712 either , you can plug into a computer and also to an amp , usually , i lug it on my amp , and the to record i plug the usb to the computer , and its really cool.

  • @Gera24024

so you can plug into your amp and make it sound nothing like your amp?

  • @eoin1712 that's totally up to you.

  • i love that clean chorus tone he gets

  • Since posting my last comment about it not sounding like this when you get it home, I've bought a pair of Roland KC-150 keyboard amps for my GT-8 and it sounds amazing. So its just a matter of getting some good full range amps hooked up to these things.

  • does anyone else poop their pants when he does that crazy lick from 2:47-2:52? cause its insane how cool that is...

  • he just performed at our school, he was there with 3 others from Roland demonstrating, really good guitarist, good person also when i talked to him

  • Cameraman cant do his job right.

  • Then when you get it home it sounds nothing like this of course.

  • @linuxguy2009 agreed

  • @linuxguy2009 lol so true

  • @linuxguy2009: it sounds quite like this when you use headphones ... but set this beast up on an amp and sound like this through the mix is a hell of a job ...

You can bet a crew of engineers helped Rob to set up the tone here,

i wish the same crew in my room to help me out as well :)

  • @linuxguy2009 Actually it does dude... You need to learn how to really get into the deepest parts of the EQ to get that kind of tone but it's a great pedal... He's working for BOSS so he obviously knows where to go for those kind of sounds... He's also using a custom Suhr guitar which is the pinnacle of quality so that gives him already a great advantage... Trust me, it's a great unit. It's just like any piece of pro gear, you need to know what you're doing before you can reap the rewards...

  • @linuxguy2009 I totally agree lol!

  • @linuxguy2009 What are you running it through?

  • @Psychovision777 A pair of Roland KC-150 keyboard amps. It sounds much nicer than through my Marshall MG-250DFX that I used to use. It sounds pretty bad ass now. But I could swear these guys on the videos are using some addition outboard gear or the audio is remastered before the videos are released. Maybe they just know some magic mojo huh? hehe I'm surprised this post got this many thumbs up. Glad I'm not the only one that thinks this.

  • @linuxguy2009 Most of the tone comes from your fingers..This rig and his EQ settings sounds a little thin, however, still sounds good for a lead tone, not to mention,he plays SUHR GUITARS..these things are 3000plus...top notch. Nice guitars make a big difference as well.

  • @linuxguy2009 For sure, but then I tried changing my shitty pick-ups and read the fu...ing owner's manual: was a big difference :)))

  • go with peavey vypyr amp modeling its better imo

  • what kind of guitar is he using??!?!?

  • my god!! savage!!

  • Wow man, I love the way he puts that clean tone in there. That is incredibly effective.

  • Hi! Could someone tell me what effect is used in the "choppy" part of the clean section (about more than halfway through the video)?...

It sounds like a chorus with a delay (or is it a pre-delay?). How do you achieve such a sound/effect in terms of the settings?... (I bought a GT-10 but am not sure yet how to tweak it's settings...I just found that "choppy" sound cool) =P

  • whoa boss has really made a very good decision getting rob..he demonstrates everything very well!

  • Wow, guitar processors.....

  • "it's 80's metal, i like that as you can jugde from my hair", haha!

  • @LtdMusic

when he says "hair" it sounds VERY american. weird...

  • what is the song he plays?

  • <3 rob !!

  • Comment removed

  • is possible, take your instruction book is very simple..

  • I would if I had one. Do you know how to do it? Can you tell me please?

    Thanks

  • ok is freaking easy: press SYSTEM, select PDL CALIBRATION, depress the heel of the pedal and the message OK appears...

Than depress the toe of the pedal to set the max and appear OK....

Now you're setting the PEDAL SW..

Firmly depress the toe of the exp pedal with the force that you want to applicate to switch... after this passage you can adjust the Threshold with the Dial and you can try that... when you think is ok just press CATEGORY/ENTER...

you can download free the manual in bossus site

  • You are a champion! Thanks bro!

  • I don't hear the difference in sound between gt8 & gt10.

    i use gt8 ))) maybe i wrong?

  • it's because boss just reissued the GT-8 with a new white casing and added 2 new features, which is now called the GT-10

  • he is such an underated guitarist

  • @AdrianSmithFan not that much .... he his absolutely amazing to play what he did compose .... but dont ask him to play something else ...

  • so can a boss-gt or digitech isp101-whatever be used with a power amp or tube amp set to clean channel instead of the traditional tube stack or combo. Would these modelled digital preamps give a disortion sound on par with tube amps?

  • since i know how to play guitar(grade 1) i don't have guitar and guitar effects but i stil play in dif. bands now at the age of 28...how i wish to have a boss gt 10someday....kep rockin rob. ...GOD BLESS the rockerslike us....

  • Can someone tell me which is better the pod or the boss gt 10 is better? Im deciding to buy one but if anyone knows anything better than both of them can someone telle me ;]

  • 5:25 from there on that riff just makes my spine shivver. i love it wish i could play that

  • oh shit this guy is awsome

  • Hey Dude!!! amazing song.. what is the name that song?...

  • lol !! end of the video " is my hair good " . this guy is awesome lol

  • I have a doubt, please help me. Which one is the best BOSS ME 20 or BOSS GT 10, the ME 20 looks simplier to use but the GT 10 have more effects,I am considering price too.please help me!!!

  • gt10 is way better....and its isn´t SO expensive....i would get the gt....if U dont want to pay those 500.00 dolars..get one gt 8 or something like that...

  • I am sorry I mean the gt 10 and the ME 70 not the 20 my mistake sorry,so now what do you think? The GT10 or the ME 70?

  • in anyway......the gt series are better than the me series....If u wanna save money get the me....the effects are how most the same you´ll only loose sound quality..=/

    I would get the GT-10

  • The GT-10 is WAY better. It has awesome effects, and its actually pretty easy to use... I got mine on ebay brand new for $400

  • is there any way to bypass the entire pedal so that you just get your amp sound without completely unplugging it

  • Yeah there should be, on the me-70 i just turn off all the effects completley and turn the cosm amp models down to off and thats it, but if thats not quite the answer then iv no idea.

  • does anyone know what this song is called could you tell me please!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • He's very versatile

Really works that wah like Vai - great upload! !

  • what song is it??

  • These actually sound really good when played through a nice clean amp. Youtube's compression and low audio quality doesn't give them a fair show. They actually sound pretty warm and organic when set up right.

  • I smell jealousy and ignorance....

  • The distortion is pretty poor but the playing is amazing. Can't stop listening to this video. Rob is way up there with the best. He just makes it look so easy. His fingers are so fucking long, it's not fair.

  • i hate effects processors for distortion.

  • Get fucked.

  • Just makes me want to give up. This guy is a fucking guitar god. He is way up there with Vai and Satriani. Mind blowing guitarist.

  • wat guitar is he using???

  • suhr

  • He's using a Suhr

  • wats he say, "thank you very much, something like that?" fuck bud, watever thats redicilious. must of locked yourself in a room for years

  • this dude is like in every guitar video lol

  • yeh most of the boss vids, hes on the website. Works 4 them

  • you can tell this guy is majorly influenced by Eddie Van Halen you can tell by parts of his playing:)

  • i was going to say more of steve vai. listen to his shredding styles. its very similar to that of vai as well as his switch from the metal tone to the delayed clean tone.
