You know what?? This happens to me so often! Because I was english educated since young. So i only speak well in canto. when i actually speak to those experts, they even laughed at me speaking canto with what they called it 'english slang'. Like hello, i did not grew up learning chinese or whatsoever. and when i started learning chinese from some of my mandarin speaking friends, they laughed at me even more! started calling me banana and all! All in all, not everyone knows Chinese.

To me, despite all these nonsensical dislikes, I love this video. Me and my friends(my Chinese friends) laughed our asses off!!! This is good, and shows what the Chinese community has to improve on by not being typical. But all races, i had a chinese friend who wanted to improve her english, but when she spoke english to another chinese friend of mine. He called her lanci and so forth. I am an english oriented malay myself, i grew up being made fun off by my other malay friends since i could only speak english back then.

While its understandable that this video was made as a joke (and I'll admit is pretty funny -and true - at some points), you just come off sounding like a dick for the most part. Everyone may have overreacted and are being pretty naive in their accusations (its pretty funny that they tell you to be accepting of other cultures when one of your main points is that we chinese should do exactly that), you might want to watch your execution in the future.

I learned Mandarin and Cantonese from my classmate from overseas,and I told them I speak a little bit of Mandarin and Cantonese. Just the basic one. They say well,at least it is alright,you can improve it. I felt bad actually but I told them teach me more Mandarin and Cantonese. Well they willing to teach,so they are not LOSER as what you think.

To me, despite all these nonsensical dislikes, I love this video. Me and my friends(my Chinese friends) laughed our asses off!!! This is good, and shows what the Chinese community has to improve on by not being typical. Most of these Chinese typical students feel left out in any big events, buddy-hang-out and they can't prosper well in the job market as well as getting through interviews. At the end of the day, i have to agree with what you say. But it's not just between the chinese that this happens. But all races, i had a chinese friend who wanted to improve her english, but when she spoke english to another chinese friend of mine. He called her lanci and so forth. I am an english oriented malay myself, i grew up being made fun off by my other malay friends since i could only speak english back then.

While its understandable that this video was made as a joke (and I'll admit is pretty funny -and true - at some points), you just come off sounding like a dick for the most part.
