the rspca can take your dog away from you with no evidence of mistreatment and rehome it if they want to. a year ago near the scottish border about 19 dogs were seized on reports of cruelty. all the dogs were fit and healthy and none were mistreated, they were all rehomed and the owners tried to get them back, some succeeded but not for a year or so, the rest just gave up. The rspca aren't all that great you know. this happens all the time.
