I think this song is about reincarnation, knowing that we are walking among the ones we knew before, and will walk again with those we knew,know and loved. The part- you can tell the sun in his jealous sky, when we walked in fields of gold, to me is saying when you get to heaven, tell the sun in all his glory, that we were together and it was beautiful. Then at the start there is that part about - you'll forget the sun in his jealous sky- which I take to me when being born again

Five years ago my brother and my father simultaneously developed terminal cancer. Shortly afterwards, my partner thought I was too emotional and we broke up. The day afterwards my microwave broke and I accidently ran over my own cat. When I first heard this song I started crying and I have never stopped. I have given away everything and begun my new life as a hermit. Now my only occupation is listening to this song in a darkened room. Thankyou sting for changing my life.

I watched this program about sting in Vietnam in which a woman begger carrying a baby asked him for some money. She spoke no English, but this didn't stop old St Sting giving her a lecture,on camera about her lifestyle. Absurd. She was a vietnamese begger and he got angry with her. How on earth could he think that was apropriate. He is an English rock star and he thought she was wrong to beg him for money. He could not imagine for one moment how it was to be her. Bizzare.
