Benefit of the doubt? With Christians being murdered and crusified? I feel that we should let the Christians from Iraq come here. We let in the Cubans and the Vietnamese. Why do the Christians from Iraq deserve any less? I already know the answer. Bush doesn't want his failed policy to come here. He didn't care about the people in New Orleans. He only went into Iraq because he thought it would make him a hero. He is transparent.

and yeas the treatment of the Christians is horribal,I'm just holding out hope that that will change,if not? I'm sure that this or the next administration would allow the Christians to come here.

Reported on numerous violations of Kurdish women's rights, ranging from forced marriage, 'honour' killings and polygamy to the denial of access to education, healthcare and justice. The Kurds are "liberal" if you are a man. Just a few days ago, a man ambushed his mother and sister with a semi automatic because she didn't want to marry the man he "selected" for her.

I do research! and despite all that the Kurdish Regional Government is combating the Honor killings and other aspects of their society.

but despite that they are still WAY more liberal than the average Sunni or Shiite. I couldnt ask for much better in the middle east.

Iraq was hit quite hard by this,there was no such thing as "Iraq", the british just took a look at Mesopotamia and decided that it would be a good idea if the Kurds,Shiites,and Sunni's all shared one country...which has proven fatal.

Probably the biggest problem here is that Iraq is an artificial nation,it was created in the aftermath of the 1st World War when the European Colonials auctioned off the world to themselves,and in doing so had re-drawn the borders of Africa and the Middle East. taking groups of people that lived amognst one another as allies and separting them...whilst bringing together groups that hated each other!
