  • The only suggestion I could offer is the grill. Packards were known for their distinctive grills. Maybe grillework with a hint of past Packard grilles ?

  • HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY 2011!

  • Chrysler 300 comes to mind

  • I've seen many concepts of what a Packard would look like today. This is the best I've ever seen. It would be a great boost to the auto market if someone could put something that utilizes at least some of the principles of your mechanical design into a large formal sedan like the one you've designed. That's where the gap currently is in the market.

  • tires too big for this classic of a car. Rear bumper way too big as is front. Looks unfinished. square down the rear window so less rounded. Ask the man who owns one! Packard motor car name, rights etc are for sale at $1.5 million. Wish I was rich I would buy it, start it up again. But alas..I am still waiting to win the power ball lottery.

  • It looks some what a cross between a Chrysler 300 an Bently! Im not saying it's a bad looking design,it just needs much more done to the front bumper it looks like somebody for got to finish the bumper ,an the rear end looks like someone for got to put on the bumper or someone stolen it off with trunk lid hanging over! And if it's going to look like a classic design of the past tone the wheel size doen a little,i know its the style today but big wheels on a classic just dont cut it for me...

  • I just recently found this video--am a big Packard fan from many years back..is there any interest (with great hope) from investors or other automotive types for this fantastic concept??

  • Beautiful looking concept car, ugly music.

  • @zeekwolfe

Thank you very much for your comment.

I wanted to use a music about Detroit and I didn't think in another song.

What music would you use for a new Packard car?

    Classic perhaps?

  • @torsapich Light classical or show tunes from the 1950's. You could use songs popularized by Nat King Cole but only as instrumentals. You will never hear rock music at the Concours d' Elegance in Pebble Beach. The people who attend such gatherings have long since left rock music behind unless, of course, that is how they made their money.

  • @zeekwolfe Oh I don't know.. how about less skull splitting bass?

  • HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

  • Nice, it does look a lot like a modern interpretation of a Packard, needs the sweepspear on the front fender though

  • @Shoknifeman Thank you very much.

I appreciate your comment a lot.

    Do you like classic design?

Now I am trying to design a Plymouth with the help of a very kind youth.

  • @torsapich Yeah, 30 years of classic car magazines can do that to you....of all the defunct models, I've always been most fond of Packards, I especially have always loved the "ox yoke" grill. :)

  • With all due respect to Fernando Gomez and his design, I just don't think there can be a modern version of the Packard car that can match the beauty and elegance of the Packard's of the 1930's, '40's and '50's. I recently went to a Packard car show in Salado, Texas that was organized by the Packard Club and it was amazing! Honestly, I never knew that there was a modern version of a Packard!!! I would like to see a modern version but more to the style of what the '30's and '40's had!!

  • You have a great idea and dream to bring back an American icon. It would be nice to see a Packard again. Do you by any chance have any other designs in mind?

  • @themoparguy

    Thank you very much Themoparguy.

I appreciate a lot your comment.

I am thinking in two new Packards, a sedan and a coupe and for the future also in a midsize Ranbler and Plymouth muscle car.

But now I am working in a strange design.

  • @torsapich You are very welcome. In all honesty, I would like to see Plymouth again more than anything. I read an article in an issue of Mopar Magazine about a concept Plymouth design which was a Plymouth Roadrunner. The design was based on the 1971/72 styling. It was interesting, but it looked like it wasn't made for bumpers which made it look odd. Just some small Chrome bumpers would add a lot of style to it. I would just like to see another actual American car company again.

  • i also would love to see, desoto rambler ,amc ,plymouth, oldsmobil cars rolling in the streets

  • Hi yasmany888!

Thank you very much for your comment, is very important for me, I believe that America can built the most luxury car in the world.

I think like you about De Soto, AMC, Rambler, Plymouth, Olds and remenber La Salle, Pierce Arrow, Stutz and if you want an excellent small american car remenber Metropolitan......

Well I am a american car fan.

  • is the most luxury american vehicle i had seen in years ,in my opinion i would love to have one especially with that american v12

  • Hi MrIowa04.

    Thank you very much!

Your comment had arrived exactly when I need more support, all people has dream, my dream is Packard.

    Thanks, thanks again.

  • you are making an exellent project i hope somebody bring to life the packard company

  • It would be nice to see Packard back into production! Thanks for keeping the dream alive and well!

  • Thank you very much! Packard400

    I appreciate your opinion.

Maybe in times of crisis a Packard with 12 cylinders 7.0 liters engine is outside of place, but I believe that Packard can be again the world top deluxe American car brand.

I am only a poor man but I don't stop to work for this dream.

    Thank you again.

  • its beautiful!!! Good luck to you! I hope it can happen!

  • Obviously you know about this, nothing in my concept is new, when I began my project I searched in the history of American cars and I found tradition, innovation and quality, these are the keys.

  • I would love to see Packards being made again.

  • Yes, I think that all world want to see Packards on the road again, this is my great dream.

I designed this Packard for Micelin Challenge Design, I'm from Uruguay but I believe that only America can built a Packard.

  • Yes I agree, and I also like how you incorporated the Torsion bar set up on your concept, especially since it was originally packard themselves that invited the torsion bars in 1955, and they are still used today over here in the US, but mostly on our pickup trucks.

  • Beautiful car !

  • terrible auto profe lo felicito, nos vemos en clase
