I believe some people are getting confused thinking this a sitcom, she signed her contract and that's the reason she never got a dime from thriller after trying to go to court to collect money.
she not paid like CSI,HOUSE,MARTIN and GHOST WHISPERER.

Whenever "Thriller" is in comercials, movies, TV shows, or referenced in popular culture, MJ is obligated to pay. He didnt want to pay Ola or John, and they both sued him.

I see all this back and forth and am still confused. How is Ola supposed to get royalties on a music video? I thought she would only get paid doing the video once it was completed. What about the dancers? Do they get royalties to? Is 'Thriller' considered a movie or a video; that makes a big difference, I believe
I can kind of understand John Landis getting paid over time, but not Ola Ray. The only assumption would be to see the contract, which will never happen.

Some of you "fans" are jealous pieces of shit. Ola didn't have a way of contacting Michael personally or his business manager. Suing someone is just a legal technicality. It's just business, nothing personal. Doesn't mean he's actually the one responsible for paying her royalties, but his record label and production company are. Like any other human being, she has a right to be paid the money she worked for to support her family.

@zacky89 When the "Thriller" video wraped up production, Michael Jackson signed a CONTRACT, stating that everyone who was involved in the video would recieve a portion of its royalties. That includes Ola Ray. Michael BROKE that contractual agreement by stopping Ola's payments.Thats why she sued him, it was nothing personal.
MJ also stopped John Landis payments and got sued by him too. Look it up.

This is NO joke - when Thriller came out, many people, male & female, thought I was the image of Ola - the parts where she is walking & smiling with him.
My hair was basically the same length & style & we are the same colouring,
When we first watched the video, I did get a weird feeling & thought to myself - wow, she looks like me.
However, it is only in the parts where she is sitting in the movie house and when walking with him as he sings to her.
She looks different now, though!
