Nice guys, met them after a gig in Grand Rapids MI at the Intersection in around 1991. Lanegan however wouldn't talk, seemed annoyed, didn't want to be there, in his own little world.
mark lanegan, the singer of the trees has about 5 or 6 solo albums, you should check em out. they are slower and have more of a blues sound to it. also he has 2 albums with isobel campbell and an album with the lead singer from the afghan whigs, the band is named gutter twins. good stuff
@jczother Thanks for the info, very cool. Can't believe I have missed that video. Have you heard Barret's work with Tuatara? I looked here for vids, but didn't see any live stuff. Too bad, their shows were great.
Because when you were a little tyke we went to see bands like this play live... Your generation is unfortunately "hoodwinked" by the shit noise (dare I say music)of SHIT HOP and Rap Crap... Thats why!
@toolwerkz .....perfect comment bud and 3 years later, we're still inundated with the same shit...only tenfold with x factor and it's immitations.......but the great thing is, thgis music will last forever....as for the other thing?
The Screaming Trees was the most underrated and unrecognized band of the "grunge" movement of the early '90s. This despite the fact that they were incredibly innovative, talented, and soulful.
I saw M. Lanegan singing with the Soulsavers in Washington DC last week -- the show was awesome; transcendant and uplifting. Lanegan possesses one of the great voices of our time. Too bad he's so under appreciated here in the U.S.
Was lucky enough to see these guys (sans Homme) at the Rocket Club in tampa....about 1991/92 ish.....they were great. Small crowd. Lanegan was surly....just perfect.

That was kinda a rhetorical question...but i agree. I rarely listen to any music that cames from the 2000's...And how did you now my approximate age?

I couldn't say a favourite, but Blind Melon, Screaming Trees, AiC and Soundgarden are the best bands of the 90's IMO.

I didn't know Josh joined the Screaming Trees

He toured with them to support Dust after Kyuss was on the way out. That's how he became friends with Mark Lanegan.
