Every human is made by God with certain capacities and talents. Our bodies are designed by him, so it is quite accurate to say this is a God-given talent. @gertiebeetle89 It can help to play faster. At least, that's what I noticed when experimenting with it. I still hold the bow in a classical grip, but each way has its benefits.

As with all forms of instrument playing, there is no correct way. Whatever way suits you is the correct way. I play guitar, drums, and piano and never have followed any set way of doing things. True music comes from the sound, not the way a bow or pick is held, or how you sit in front of a piano.
