boxa1500 if you paid attention to the show you would have known that they were letting matt go even through he did commit murder he was under the double jeopardy rule. Also why wouldn't Tom hug the women they guy killed her son. Her sister lied because she thought she was going to marry Matt. Not to mention she was pregnant. So I think a little compassion was deserved she just killed someone and now was spending her life in jail not being able to see her child after is was born.
