sounds great but if your laying 8" of stone dont you think you need a bigger roller small wacker roller fine for asphalt but not heavy enough to compact thick stone properly
The 7 year product that you are mentioning can be quite effective at protecting a driveway surface. However the actual time of real protection can vary depending on what part of the country you are located in. In states like Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan, a 7 year sealer is simply not going to hold up to all of the abusive weather that it experiences. Down south or in desert areas, a 7 year sealer may easily hold up to the promised time frame, or possibly even longer.
You mentioned using a sealing product every 3-5 years but there are some companies like Blackjack that make a 7 year product. Would these be worth the additional time or would you still need to seal every 3-5?
Unfortunately, we are located in the southwestern Ohio area. I do not know of anyone that serves the Shreveport area. I wish that I could be of more help.
I have been laying asphalt for 22 years. It definitely looks like you guys know what you are doing. Looks like quality equipment, which in my opinion is one of the biggest things when it comes to laying asphalt.
