  • Why does everyone post the same line when we can clearly see gianttree's, posted two years ago, at the top? lol

  • Just one mistake.

    Instead of Ng4-e5? Better continuation is Ng4- e3. Qd1-d2 or Qd1-d3, THen you go Bxd4, Qxd4?, Nxc2+, winning a queen.

  • "After f3 the game is not important?. That pretty much misses the point. This is a nice game in that it highlights a number of key themes that black uses in different sicilians. Also, ne3 doesn't appear to be "winning" as white just moves the queen up a square, retakes with the rook and castles long. Not great, but white doesn't do that well in the actual continuation either.

  • Ne3 is winning, if the queen moves then Bxd4, wins a piece since if white recaptures then Nc2+ winning the queen!

  • I like it!

  • After 10. f3, Ne3 11. Qd2, Bxd4, white is in a lot of trouble.

  • Hi,

I know this 6. ...Ng4!?line quite well and therefore I want to give a comment:

The ending is quite nice, but considering the fact that your opponent made the horrible mistake 10. f3 (??) the game is not important.

    Your 10. ...Ne5 (??) is again a huge mistake,

    10. ...Ne3! is simply winning. 11. Qd2 Bxd4 and white will not be happy any more.

    12. Qxd4 fails to 12. ...Nxc2+, winning the Queen, and otherwise white's position is also desperate.

Next time you can punish 10.f3 easier ;-)

  • thnx for posting these lines! f3 is indeed a weak move... i like the Ng4 variation, time to analyse! gtrz.

  • @gianttree - can you expand further on the best way to respond to 6. ...Ng4!? I haven't found much info online on how best to play against this move.

  • Very high quality of play here on a blitz game, I enjoyed the video and thanks for it.

  • very strong attack...thanks for posting!

  • interesting najdorf attack

  • Good game Can! I just posted a vid where I played Be3 and my opponent didn't play Ng4. I got in g4,g5,h4,h5 and g6! Ng4 was Kasparov's main reply wasn't it. Are there alternatives?

  • nice
