Me and a friend were talking about this morality thing today. How people are all into this "morals are bad" thing. Moral's aren't bad. False morals are bad. Let's not fuck it up now.
Most people just use morality to their advantage. When someone else is doing something they don't like they will call it out. But when they do something it's hush hush.
I more or less live by christian morals. I simply see them as the most beneficial to my way of life. It really is a good way to live.
Funny story. In the 1700's, when the missionaries started to learn about native american religions, one native american tribe, the Shawnee, already had christian morals. Their laws, which were developed naturally, already had things like "don't murder" and "don't steal". Only real difference was, they believed the laws only applied to them.
Let me put it another way. I choose abstinance over protection. Just bacause I adopted the living standards and apply them to my life, better than most christians, doesn't make me one. Widsom comes in many forms, ancient fairy tales are a good source.
They were not only wiser, they were a lot more intelligent. The people in ancient times built monuments with stone tools that we cannot duplicate with modern machinery.
