What are horse pills for? Do they make your horse withstand punishment? I shot my horse 5 times tonight in utter frustration. Think the neighbors heard me invent new swear words too lol.

I think the trick here is simply having a really solid Stallion by this segment of the game. I know the game gives you ample opportunity to round up a strong Wild Horse, but the taming/breaking mini-game can be such a pain (it appears) that I can see why most would not want to bother as opposed to just playing. At least I know should I buy this game (still unsure considering *SPOILER* how crappy the ending is) making sure I have the best horse John can get is at the top of the list.

@RogueScholarBlue Thanks. Now I know. This is a really frustrating experience as in GTA all you had to do when racing was to be aggressive whilst thinking a step ahead. Damn these bloody horses. But I lost my Stallion in a gunfight at Pike's Basin. I forgot to whistle the horse after the fight was over. So I should go into Cholla Springs and lasso a good horse?  Get the game- you'll not regret it. The sunsets are something else out in the desert.

idk if this is just for me, but this video would not go past the 0:56 second mark. i don't know why though. If this is just a singular case then forget it, but i wanted to point it out before it became a major annoyance :)
