I have tried Marmite and I did not like it at all but Vegemite I like. That is what I think. You put wayyyy to much vegemite on it also I agree never put butter knife in vegemite jar.
Firstly, Marmite (English version) is better than Vegemite. Secondly, yes definately too much on the toast! Less is more! And lastly, never put a buttery knife in Vegemite or Marmite. It is very yeasty and the butter will ferment and it will go mouldy quicker. Although since you aren't going to be eating it much anyway... lol
When I first tried a Tootsie Pop in November I almost gagged. Very very eww in the middle.
I have seen someone try Vegemite before and they had a similar reaction to what you had. I remember wanting to try Vegemite when I first heard about it in the Men at Work song, "Down Under". I said do you speak my language. He just smiled and game a Vegemite sandwage. I might try it, but you really can't get that stuff here for contamination reasons. You could buy it in Austraila and bring it into the States, but they won't allow it to be shipped. Your supermarket won't have any in stock.
