  • I don't get this... Wasn't cupid from Don Quixote?

  • @yorouichi17 The variation was originally from Paquita but was later interpolated into Don Quixote as a solo for the character Cupid. Have a look at mrlopez2681's videos of Yuri Burlaka's reconstruction of the Paquita Grand Pas; he has uploaded the full performance with Zakharova and his video descriptions include a lot of fascinating notes about the origins of the different variations.

  • I like the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th but the second is too boring..

  • but the 4th has beautifull music <333

  • 3th variation is my fav!

  • the tutu of the first variation girl is so beautifull

  • tough crowd...

  • i love larissa lezhnina

  • @yanyuet she's dancing now at our company, het nationale ballet in holland =]

  • the second girl reminds me of maria tallcheif for some reason.

  • my dance studio only just did paquita, at the end of last year! some of the dances are neally the same beside we didn't do them on pointe.

  • Does anyone know why the 3rd one is the exact same music and almost the same choreography as cupid from don quixote?

  • just marvellous, kirov is best!

  • Is it just me or is the dancer in the second variation tanner than most dancers? Or is that the lighting??

  • what is the name of the last one? :)

  • At the start the balettdancer.....this part had i dance.....it was very difficult....but it makes fun ;D

  • Oh, I didn't notice her flexed foot when she began her leap. But the rest was beautiful!

  • mmm... ma c'è una variazione di Amore del Don Chishotte al 3.53 minuti!!!! come mai????

  • perchè paquita racchiude tutte le variazioni

  • Stupendo!!!

  • concordo adoro il kirov

  • did they change their costumes for the variations??!

  • Wow Larissa Lezhnina and the last dancer were particularly amazing, even if I loved them all !

Paquita is such a lovely ballet

  • the "girl" dancing the second variation looks like a man.

  • she starts her 2nd position leap with a flexed foot then straightens it. its right at the beginning

  • good eye. ;)

  • I do the exact same thing when I jump. It's such a hard habit to break, and so, so, so ugly.

  • BEATIFULLLLL

  • Who danced the second variation??

  • The first one is danced by Irina Zhelonkina, the second by Lyubov Kunakova, the third one by Veronika Ivanova, the fourth one by Larissa Lezhnina and the last by Alexandra Koltun.
